This is our dry season. Last week, acres of land were burned during a forest fire near Sun City Center. What made it worse was it was on the edge of 75 and they had to shut down 14 miles of the highway. The damage was bad, but nobody died in the fire. Yesterday, we received some much needed rain. It was an all-day steady rain that took away some of the dry. To make matters better, it rained most of this morning too.
The rainy season is just around the corner, but we need as much rain as we can get. The lakes are down and everything is dried out. This year, it looks almost like we live in a desert. I hope the rain holds off the forest fires and I hope it continues. The future forecast for Tampa is hot and sunny.
