Dr. Pops Therapeutic All Natural Lollipops For Kids

My kids and I had the chance to review a couple of boxes of Dr. Pops all natural lollipops made for children to help them deal when they are sick.

Dr. Pops are allergy safe for those with nut, egg, and shellfish allergies. Sucking is a primitive instinct and a way that we are able to calm ourselves. The pairing of sucking along with healthy vitamins and nutrients in the lollipops, allows for even more calming and restorative effects. The ingredients: Honey, Zinc, and Vitamin C are all well-known for their positive benefits.

The Dr Pops range of ‘lollipops’ is a therapeutic range of lozenges on a stick which are specifically formulated for children.
Sucking is one of the most primitive instincts we have as infants and provides comfort instantly. So when a sick child is presented with a pleasant tasting ‘lollipop’, there is instant compliance and a feeling of being comforted and given a treat (even before the therapeutic benefit has set in).
With the added goodness of essential nutrients, Dr. Pops lollipops provide a great tasting all-natural treat that kids love.
  • No added sugar
  • No preservatives
  • No artiļ¬cial colors
You know about the lollipops now. As far as the kids, I and the taste. Two important things. These lollipops don't have much sugar. I am pre-diabetic and I used to suck on Vitamin C drops constantly before I found out. My children did too. This product is all natural and actually has a great taste. My daughter loves the lollipops. I tried both of them and also enjoyed both.

A note about the company. The people reached out to me and are very kind, positive and really stand behind their great product. It has been a pleasure dealing with them.

I did receive a sample of their product for free and this is my honest opinion about what I think about this great product

Treat Mesothelioma Guest Post

How to Improve Prognosis for Stage 4 Mesothelioma At stage 4, mesothelioma has reached its most advanced level. Typically, by the time mesothelioma cancer reaches the 4th stage, the cancer cells have already begun to spread to distant organs like the kidneys, liver, and heart via the lymphatic system and this spread causes new tumors to develop on the tissue lining of those organs (known as the mesothelium). Although stage 4 mesothelioma may not be considered curable, there are procedures and medications that can be used to improve a patient’s prognosis while reducing the severity of their symptoms. Diagnosis At stage 4 mesothelioma cancer has already metastasized. Cancer cells have already begun to divide and produce tumors in the distant parts of the patient’s body. Its symptoms are more severe, persistent, and significant. Any palliative care is usually given to reduce the symptoms while improving the quality of life of the patient. Although several treatments can be used in stage 4 mesothelioma patients, none of them are aimed at treating or curing the disease. They are aimed at relieving severe symptoms and pain. Symptoms of stage 4 mesothelioma In some cases, symptoms of mesothelioma are not diagnosed until the disease reaches stage 4. This can be attributed to the fact that latency time for mesothelioma can be up to 50 years. Additionally, symptoms can emerge slowly while mimicking those of other conditions until they become severe. Nevertheless, stage 4 mesothelioma has specific and severe symptoms. These include:  Weight loss  Fever  Lethargy  Dyspnea  Persistent and severe cough  Severe abdominal, testicular or chest pain  Swelling of the scrotum or abdomen  Cancer symptoms in other organs  Organ failure symptoms Ways to Improve a Mesothelioma Prognosis Since the mesothelioma at this point has indeed metastasized, it has a very poor prognosis. The average life expectancy of stage 4 mesothelioma patients is only 6 months. Nevertheless, there are cases where patients get incorrect staging despite the initial prognosis being poor. That’s why it is always important to get a second opinion. This ensures that patients do not dismiss curative procedures as inappropriate. Consultation or treatment from an experienced mesothelioma specialist will give the patient the most accurate diagnosis and information. Although most doctors do not usually recommend surgery for treating stage 4 mesothelioma, there are other ways of improving a patient’s stage 4 mesothelioma prognosis. Please watch the following video as it explains and touches on all topics concerning mesothelioma life expectancy and prognosis: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNnDZUBYjXk

Treatment Options To Improve A Patient’s Life Expectancy These are basically treatments that aim at keeping mesothelioma under control while relieving symptoms. In most cases, removal of the fluid that builds up close to the primary tumor is the procedure that is used to improve the prognosis. This procedure has varying names depending on the cancer and tumor location:  Paracentesis: This entails draining fluid from the abdominal area and is performed when the patient has peritoneal mesothelioma.  Thoracentensis: This involves draining fluid from the patient’s chest / lungs and is performed when the patient has pleural mesothelioma.  Pericardiocentesis: This entails draining fluid from the area that surrounds the patient’s heart and is performed when the patient has pericardial mesothelioma. This fluid is drained through the insertion of a thin, hollow needle that collects fluid from the affected area. Bothersome symptoms are usually alleviated with this procedure though the relief is usually temporary. In addition to these procedures, getting palliative or supportive care improves prognosis as well. Oxygen therapy, pain medications, coupled with any alternative therapies for mesothelioma can do wonders for improving a patient’s quality of life. When it comes down to it, remember to always consult with a MESOTHELIOMA SPECIALIST. Yes, that is in ALL CAPS for a reason. A family doctor or general oncologist should simply not be in charge of your treatment plan as they do not have the training or knowledge to understand what treatments are best for you. Getting the care from an experienced mesothelioma specialist is perhaps your best foot forward to obtaining the absolute best treatment plan possible for your condition.

When Jesus Was a Green-Eyed Brunette Brook Review

I had the opportunity to read When Jesus Was a Green-Eyed Brunette written by Max Davis.  I like the stories about how Jesus shows up in the lives of normal people like you and I. In today's world, we often judge people by the way they look and/or if they are handicapped or sick. This books shows us how Jesus shows up in the lives of people whom none of us would expect.  Fantastic book.

About the Book:
When Jesus Was a Green-Eyed Brunette weaves heartwarming and miraculous stories of Jesus showing up in ordinary people, revealing that He knows us and is fully present in our everyday circumstances, especially in our difficulties. Those hurting and weary from worn-out religion are longing for a fresh touch from the living Jesus. Best-selling author Max Davis challenges us to do more than simply receive God’s grace—we need to allow grace to soften, change, and shape us. As you read this book you will laugh, cry, and come face-to-face with the living Jesus, much like Davis did, when he found Him living in a green-eyed brunette. As Davis puts it, “Jesus is very much alive today and still does incredible things—sometimes supernatural things—through us!”

Charlie The Tramp Book Review and Giveaway 12/12/2016

I had the opportunity to review Charlie The Tramp. I thought it was funny when my daughter asked me why would any parent let their kid become a tramp. Of course, the character isn't a human kid, Charlie is a beaver who wants to be a Tramp when he grows up. Charlie did not want to grow up and do all the hard work beavers do. So his parents let him try out the Tramp deal. Charlie comes home from Tramping, does work for food, finally he decides to build his own Beaver Dam. And decides that sometimes he would be a Tramp and at other times he would build a pond.

Very cute book that every child should read. They might ask you odd questions like my daughter asked. You could win a copy of this great book by entering the giveaway. Would be a nice Christmas Present for a young loved one.
