Come With Me And Run A Half Marathon

I was born in Weehawken, NJ forty-eight years ago. It has been a long time since I have been to the great state of New Jersey. Sadly, I remember it well. My mother died over twenty years ago and she is buried in New Jersey. I have not visited her grave since, but I am planning a trip to New Jersey in the near future. I also love to run. I have been a runner since I was a teenager. I maxed the PT test in the Army and was put to the test. On our fifteen mile hike (with full gear), I was the guy who ran and stopped all the traffic. I ran the entire fifteen mile hike with a backpack on my back. It was tough to do, but I felt proud when I actually finished the trip. Lately, I have been wanting to run a half marathon. I decided to get serious and begin to train for the race. I also looked up NJ Half Marathon to see if there were any in my home state. I figured I could run the half marathon and visit my mother's grave afterwards. Then I think I will do some sightseeing and see if New Jersey is anything like it was when I was a kid.

Planning a trip is a ton of work, planning to run a half marathon is also a tough job. Doing both of them together, is nearly impossible. Somehow I managed to get a bunch of my family together ready to do a family reunion in New Jersey. I have no idea what we are all in for. Our family does not get together to often because we don't all get along. I am hoping my family will watch me run the half marathon. I am also hoping my brother will join in on the fun. He has actually run a few full marathons and should do well in this upcoming race. I have no idea how I will do. I run for enjoyment. I love to run and breathe in the fresh air. While you run you can relax and think our all of your problems. Running is a blast. I hope to see each of you at the races, one of us may even win. Trust me, if you want a challenge, train yourself and run a race in your hometown. After you get your feet wet, run another race that will challenge you even more.
