Choosing The Right Auto Repair On Your Trip Through Austin

You know how it is, you are on vacation and you're driving your car. You find yourself in the middle of nowhere and your car breaks down. Thank God for smart phones, always there when you need them. I find myself going through Austin, Texas. I am driving a Dodge Neon with 172,000 miles on it. The car never gave me any problem and then it breaks down in the middle of the highway. I call Triple A and tell them I need a tow truck. They ask me some questions and tell me they will be there within an hour. In the mean time, I decide to look up some car repair shops in the Austin area. I find a few shops that interest me when I look up Austin auto repair. When the tow truck reaches us, I ask them what they think about the shops. They let me know the one with the best reputation, check my card and we are on our way. They take us to the repair shop in Austin they recommended.

I liked the people at the repair shop. They welcomed us to the town and told us about a restaurant nearby. They checked out the Neon and gave me a phone call. The alternator was dead and we needed a new one. They also recommended we replace the belt with the alternator. I asked them to change the oil too because it was getting close. About four hours later, we get another call, the car is done. We walk over to the repair shop and our car is parked out front. I go inside and pay the bill, the price was reasonable. This repair shop was actually not in the business of ripping off sight seers visiting their town. I am glad the tow truck driver took us to the right place.

I asked the guy at the repair shop to direct me to a good hotel that was close by. He told me about two places that he highly recommended. One cost twice as much as the other, but it was really classy. They even offered a free hot breakfast in the morning. We said our goodbyes and I thanked the man for his honesty. It is always nice to deal with people who do not cheat you just because they can. Our visit to Austin was very nice, but it was not our true destination. We have relatives about a six hour ride away. After a refreshing night at the classy hotel, we jumped into the Neon, knowing we had no worries about a break down anymore.
