No Choice (Poetry)

I had no choice
You gave me none
You made a move
That could not be undone

The days go by
With Thoughts of you
I think out loud
What can I do?

I watched you leave
I said goodbye
I wiped a teardrop
From both my eyes

Anxious thoughts
Came over me
My little girl
Is now sixteen

You chose a road
Many miles from me
Where the sky is blue
And the grass is green


I had no choice
