Blaze of Glory Book Review

I was sent the book Blaze of Glory to read and review. The book was well-written book by M. Garzon and here is a little bit of information about the author:

M. garzon rode horses professionally for ten years, until an injury prompted a career change. She returned to school and completed a BSc; then, for good measure, an MBA. After several years of toiling as a business consultant, she turned to writing in a desperate bid to regain her sanity. A mom of two fabulous children, she lives in St-Lazare, QC and is currently working on the sequel to “Blaze of Glory.”

The book is written for young adults. Blaze of Glory is a story much like Cinderella, but with an evil stepfather and the book is about a horse and a teenage girl. The book is mainly written for young girls, it is about Tea, a girl of seventeen who is determined to find her life’s path and forge a career for herself as a professional equestrian. She is in love with her twenty-three year old step-cousin, who is also dealing with abuse.

The book is well written, but I would not let my daughter read it until she was at least seventeen years old because the subject of kissing cousins is a bit too much for younger girls to read. As a father, this book is obviously written by a woman for girls/women and is filled with romance. The story is good and the author is very careful about the relationship by not being overly graphic or allowing the relationship go to far.If you like romance and horses, this is a good book for you.

I came from an abusive family and the decisions Tea makes are much like the decisions one makes when you have a horrible father. I remember all the dumb decisions I made and I cringe when I look back at them. This book shows us how important it is for all parents to be there for their children and raise them up in a household that guides and loves children instead of abusing them.

You can buy the book here and the sequel should be out soon....
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
