Famous People Who Died on January 12th

Dying is just like taxes in the respect that it is going to happen to you and me. Over history, we realize it doesn't matter who you are, you are going to face death. Famous people have no secret weapon against death. They are just like you and I. They will die. We will die. Death is a part of life. However, many of us look forward to eternal life in Heaven. After we all pass from this world, I hope to meet each one of you in a better place called Heaven.

1867- Leo Tolstoy's "Smert Ioonna Groznogo," premieres in St Petersburg
1932 - Hattie W Caraway elected 1st woman senator (D-Ark)
1966- "Batman" with Adam West & Burt Ward premieres on ABC TV
Deaths
1726-1777 -Hugh Mercer was an American Revolutionary War officer and Physician who was mortally wounded in battle of Princeton, was a close friend of George Washington
1813-1897 -Isaac Pitman was a British inventor (Pitman Shorthand), the most widely used shorthand and he was also the President of the Vegetarian Society
1895-1928 -Ruth Snyder was the 1st woman to die in electric chair at Sing Sing Prison for murdering her husband
1915-1944 -Lance C. Wade was an American pilot who joined the British Royal Air Force during WW II and became a Flying Ace, he was credited with 23 victories and died in a flying accident, some have him with 25 victories
1875-1958 -Charles Mallory Hatfield was a U.S. rainmaker who actually succeeded because of his meteorological skill and sense of timing
1885-1970 -Blanche Stuart Scott, US pilot who was known as Betty Scott was considered the first American woman aviator, the US made a stamp commemorating Betty Scott and her achievements
1951-1975 -Caryn Campbell was the Serial Killer's Ted Bundy's victim, disappears from Snowmass, Colorado
1890-1976 -Agatha Christie was a famous mystery writer (10 Little Indians); Agatha Christie is best known for her eighty detective books about Hecule Poirot and Miss Jane Marple
1907-1992 -Walt Morey was a US children's book writer, he wrote Gentle Ben
1901-1995 -George Price was a cartoonist (New Yorker), dies at 93
