Famous People Who Died On January 17th

Dying is just like taxes in the respect that it is going to happen to you and me. Over history, we realize it doesn't matter who you are, you are going to face death. Famous people have no secret weapon against death. They are just like you and I. They will die. We will die. Death is a part of life. However, many of us look forward to eternal life in Heaven. After we all pass from this world, I hope to meet each one of you in a better place called Heaven.

What Happened in History
1861- Flush toilet patented by Mr. Thomas Crapper, he did not invent the flush toilet, he improved it and he has his name on manhole covers in Westchester Abby
1916 - Professional Golfer Association the PGA forms in NYC
1926- George Burns marries Gracie Allen
1945- Auschwitz concentration camp begins evacuation
1966 - Martin Luther King Jr. opens campaign in Chicago

1639-1718 -Captain Benjamin Church was a Plymouth Colony settler and military leader, he is considered the father of Rangers and he was Captain of the first Ranger force in America in 1676
1811-1874 -Chang & Eng Bunker were Chinese/Thai Siamese twins, their condition was what made the name Siamese twins
1822-1893 -Rutherford B Hayes was the 19th US President (1877-81), he was also the 29th governor of Ohio, he was a Republican and he was a Major General in the Union army
1836-1910 -Thomas Crapper was an inventor of what some people call parts of the crapper (flush toilet), he modernized the crapper or made it better
1848-1933 -Louis Comfort Tiffany was an American artist and designer who is best known for his work in stained glass, Favrile glass, President Chester A. Arthur hired Tiffany to do glass work in the White House, in 1902 Tiffany became the design director for Tiffany& Company, the jewelry company that was founded by his father.
1906-1964 -T.H. White, English author who is best known for his sequence of novels The Once and Future King and wrote England Have my Bones
1986-1996 -Amber Hagerman was the American namesake of the Amber Alert system; she was a victim of an abduction and murder
1960-2005 -Charlie Bell, Australian fast food executive, he was the president of McDonald's, he died from colon cancer
1930-2006 -Clarence Ray Allen was an American murderer who was 76 when he was executed. Clarence Ray Allen killed three people
1943-2008 -Bobby Fischer was a famous American chess player and the eleventh World Chess Champion, Bobby Fischer is considered one of the best chess players of all time, a movie was made about his life
1983-2010 -Gaines Adams was an NFL football player who played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Chicago Bears; he died from cardiac arrest due to an enlarged heart
