Famous People Who Died on January 15th

Dying is just like taxes in the respect that it is going to happen to you and me. Over history, we realize it doesn't matter who you are, you are going to face death. Famous people have no secret weapon against death. They are just like you and I. They will die. We will die. Death is a part of life. However, many of us look forward to eternal life in Heaven. After we all pass from this world, I hope to meet each one of you in a better place called Heaven.

1780- Continental Congress establishes court of appeals
1831- 1st US-built locomotive to pull a passenger train makes 1st run
1863- 1st US newspaper printed on wood-pulp paper, Boston Morning Journal

1810-1876 -Eliza Johnson was the 21st U.S. First Lady of the United States and she was the wife of President Andrew Johnson, the seventeenth President of the United States
1822-1896 -Matthew B Brady was a US photographer during the Civil War and is credited with being the father of photojournalism
1850-1916 -Modest Tchaikovsky was a famous Russian writer/translator and was the younger brother of composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky
1832-1922 -John Kirk Barry was a Doctor/explorer and David Livingstone's companion and was also a highly regarded Botanist
1891-1934 -Patrick O'Malley was a US policeman who was killed by John Dillinger as he responded to a bank robbery in Chicago
1924-1947 -Black Dahlia was the murder victim found in LA (basis of the movie); the Black Dahlia's real name was Elizabeth Short
1886-1950 -General Henry "Hap" Arnold was U.S. General of the Air Force and the Army, he was the only General to hold a five star rank in two different US military forces, General Henry H. Arnold was the commanding General of the US Army Air Forces during World War II
1978-Margaret Bowman & Janet Levy, Chi Omega, FSU students who were killed by Ted Bundy
1915-2007 -James Hillier was a Canadian inventor of electron microscope
1964-2008 -Mark Haigh-Hutchinson, Game Designer who is noted for Paperboy,Star Wars and Metroid Prime games, he died from pancreatic cancer
