Gardein Seven Grain Crispy Tenders Review

Gardein sent me a coupon for the free product of my choice. I went to Publix and they had four choices. I picked the Seven Grain Crispy Tenders because the package said kids love me. The package is nine ounces and says it feeds five. This means two chicken tenders per child. My seven year old son ate five, my five year old daughter ate three and I ate two. Publix charges $3.99 for the bag of chicken tenders which is not awful expensive.

These are the opinions of all of us. My five year old daughter liked the Gardein chicken tenders, but she said they tasted more like fish to her than chicken. She wasn't overly impressed, but she did not hate them. My seven year old son loved the taste of the Gardein chicken tenders and swallowed five of them quickly. He dipped them in ketchup like does all the chicken nuggets he eats. I was pleasantly surprised with the taste of the chicken nuggets. The Gardein chicken nuggets had a good flavor, were lightly salted. They tasted like chicken with a slight fish flavor. I enjoyed them which is a big deal since I am a huge beef eater.

The Facts: Gardein seven grain crispy tenders are made with soy protein isolate and wheat gluten, filled with flavor, vegetable gum, potato starch, sea salt, organic cane sugar, pea protein, carrot fiber, organic beetroot fiber. The breading is made with wheat flour, rice flour, oat bran, wheat gluten, salt sugar, spices, etc. What i'm getting at is the food is all natural and flavored nicely. Each serving is two chicken nuggets which come out to 100 calories, 3.5 grams of fat, 8 carbs and 8 grams of protein. This food is very good for you and actually tastes great. This was the best meat-free food I have ever tasted..... Hands down.

When the children were done, I told them their chicken was not chicken. They both said yuck when I told them they actually ate a chicken tender made out of good stuff and not meat. As a parent, I loved the chicken tenders and I plan on buying more for my family. Maybe a middle-aged meat eater could stand for more nutritious foods once in awhile.

DISCLAIMER: I received the product for review purposes. All opinions are my own and I was not compensated in any other way.........
