HR 684 Marketplace Fairness Act of 2013 Is A Nightmare For Online Investors

Gold and silver investors will face a real-life nightmare if a bill that recently passed the Senate becomes law. The bill would tax commerce between the states, something that has been exempt (except for certain circumstances) since the Constitution was ratified. Now, the bill is in the House, where it is known as HR 684 “Marketplace Fairness Act of 2013.”
The bill's supporters say that it would "level the playing field" between "bricks and mortar" stores, which collect local sales taxes, and sellers that deliver across state lines without collecting sales taxes. In reality, it would be a massive tax increase and would burden businesses, large and small alike, with huge compliance costs.
There is nothing "fair" about the act, and certainly not for gold and silver investors. The bill would, for residents of many states, immediately impose taxes on gold and silver purchases while such investments as stocks and bonds remain exempt. This, of course, would not be a "level playing field." There is no doubt about it, HR 684 would take the luster off investing in gold and silver.
HR 684 can be stopped in the House--if enough Americans let their Representatives know that they should oppose the bill. Members of the House, because they serve only two years between elections, DO LISTEN to their constituents.
Contacting members of Congress is not that difficult. It can be done via emails, letters, faxes and phone calls. Visiting your Congressperson's office is not necessary but could yield tremendous results if you personally know your Representative. To find out who your Representative is and to learn the various ways to contact him/her, go to Find Your Representative and type in your ZIP.
The really important thing is the number of messages, regardless of the manner of delivery, that our Reps receive in opposition to this bill.
To see the text of HR 684 and to learn where your Rep stands on this bill, go to Marketplace Fairness Act Bill. If your Rep co-sponsored the bill, ask him/her to reverse course. Even if you can't get him/her to reverse course, you can reduce his/her willingness to fight for the bill as other members of the House oppose it.
My favorite way to contact my Rep on important issues, such as HR 684, is to type and print two copies of a letter and fax it to my Rep's local office and her DC office. Then I mail a copy to both offices. Faxes are not easy to ignore, and letters, while they take a little time to reach my Rep's offices, show a strong interest in the matter.
All readers are urged to take action on HR 684 as soon as possible. The sooner members of the House recognize that there is strong opposition, the better. If HR 684 becomes law, it will be a disaster for gold and silver investors.

Ingredients
8 oz
Neufchâtel cheese
11⁄2
avocados
2
green onions, trimmed and roughly chopped
2 oz
shredded cheddar cheese
3 tbsp
cilantro
1⁄8 tsp
garlic powder
1 tbsp
fresh lime juice
1⁄2 tsp
chili powder
1⁄2 tsp
kosher or sea salt
1⁄8 tsp
paprika
1⁄8 tsp
cayenne pepper
1⁄4 tsp
ground cumin
INSTRUCTIONS
Add ingredients to jar in order listed and secure lid. Press "Pulse" 7-9 times to chop the ingredients. Use a rubber scraper to push the ingredients close to the blade. Increase th spees to Speed 1 and run for 1-20 seconds until ingredients are well-mixed. Pour into serving dish and chill for 2-3 hours before serving.
Alternative: Serve warm by heating in the microwave or toaster oven.

(Speaking at a candidate forum on the Spanish-language network Univision) We now know this was a lie that came out of President Obama's mouth. We know this was a terrorist attack that the White House hid from all of us.
Libyan Ambassador Chris Stevens was in fear for his life. He said he was on an al Qaeda hit list before he was killed in an attack on the Benghazi consulate. The Libyan government warned the US three days in advance about the attack on Ambassador Chris Stevens and our government did nothing. They didn't even give the ambassador the protection he needed. Where was President Obama on 9/11 and why didn't he take these threats seriously?
President Obama was at a 9/11 memorial at the White House and than he spoke at the Pentagon about the victims of 9/11. The next day (after hearing about the murder of Chris Stevens) Barack Obama skips his intelligence briefing and goes to a fundraiser in Las Vegas . Our ambassador to Libya is killed and Obama goes on another fundraiser.
To make matters worse, Mitt Romney criticizes Barack Obama for not doing enough and there is more news about Romney's comments than the terrorist attack that took out our ambassador. A week after the attack, the White House finally admits that the attack (that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens) was a planned terrorist attack commemorating the 9/11 attack of the twin towers in New York City in 2001.
Who is to blame? President Barack Obama is our Commander in Chief. He took credit for the killing of Osama Bin Laden. He deserves the blame for the murder of Libyan Ambassador Chris Stevens and the cover-up that followed. President Obama had all the information he needed to protect our ambassador and to tell the US people the truth when his administration screwed up. Our President and his administration lied to us to protect his bid for reelection. White lie or straight out lie, I will let you decide.
If a President lies and it is proven, he should be impeached.

Favorite Duck Dynasty Characters-SI
Hopefully, you have had the chance to watch Duck Dynasty. You have a family of self-proclaimed Red Necks who became millionaires with duck calls. They are a fun Christian family that put a unique spin on television. At first, I did not watch the show because I thought it would be dumb. When I finally did, I could not get enough of Duck Dynasty.
My favorite person on Duck Dynasty is Si. Si is the uncle of Willie, who is the CEO of Duck Dynasty. Si is a Vietnam Vet and he is very eccentric. He works with his family at their company, if you want to call what he does as work. He carries a cup and a jug of iced-tea everywhere he goes. He loves to hunt and have Red Neck fun. I like Si because he is funny and fun loving. At times, he seems mentally ill, but he is actually pretty smart. Si believes he can do everything well, but he messes up most everything he does.
Most of the family make fun of Si, but you can tell they love him. He is unique and a very important part of their family. One time, he quit the company and everything began falling apart. Si does not look like he works, seems lazy, but is an important part of Duck Dynasty.
Some of my favorite moments with Si are when he does the Turkey dance while they are hunting turkeys, when he drives the truck all around town, messing up the gears and always going the wrong direction and when he spends hundreds of dollars in a children's arcade to win the purple gorilla. There are so many more fun times with Si on Duck Dynasty. Si is my favorite person, but each person on the show has some very like-able qualities.

Muslim Brotherhood Infiltrates Obama Administration
An Egyptian magazine claims that six American Islamist activists who work with the Obama administration are Muslim Brotherhood operatives who enjoy strong influence over U.S. policy.
The Dec. 22 story published in Egypt’s Rose El-Youssef magazine suggests the six turned the White House “from a position hostile to Islamic groups and organizations in the world to the largest and most important supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood.”

The six named people include: Arif Alikhan, assistant secretary of Homeland Security for policy development; Mohammed Elibiary, a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council; Rashad Hussain, the U.S. special envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference; Salam al-Marayati, co-founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC); Imam Mohamed Magid, president of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA); and Eboo Patel, a member of President Obama’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships.
Alikhan is a founder of the World Islamic Organization, which the magazine identifies as a Brotherhood “subsidiary.” It suggests that Alikhan was responsible for the “file of Islamic states” in the White House and that he provides the direct link between the Obama administration and the Arab Spring revolutions of 2011.
Elibiary, who has endorsed the ideas of radical Muslim Brotherhood luminary Sayyid Qutb, may have leaked secret materials contained in Department of Homeland Security databases , according to the magazine. He, however, denies having any connection with the Brotherhood.
Elibiary also played a role in defining the Obama administration’s counterterrorism strategy, and the magazine asserts that Elibiary wrote the speech Obama gave when he told former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to leave power but offers no source or evidence for the claim.
According to Rose El-Youssef, Rashad Hussain maintained close ties with people and groups that it says comprise the Muslim Brotherhood network in America. This includes his participation in the June 2002 annual conference of the American Muslim Council, formerly headed by convicted terrorist financier Abdurahman Alamoudi.
He also participated in the organizing committee of the Critical Islamic Reflection along with important figures of the American Muslim Brotherhood such as Jamal Barzinji, Hisham al-Talib and Yaqub Mirza.
Regarding al-Marayati, who has been among the most influential Muslim American leaders in recent years, the magazine draws connections between MPAC in the international Muslim Brotherhood infrastructure.
Magid heads ISNA, which was founded by Brotherhood members, was appointed by Obama in 2011 as an adviser to theDepartment of Homeland Security . The magazine says that has also given speeches and conferences on American Middle East policy at the State Department and offered advice to the FBI.
Rose El-Youssef says Patel maintains a close relationship with Hani Ramadan, the grandson of Brotherhood founder Hasan al-Banna, and is a member of the Muslim Students Association, which it identifies as “a large Brotherhood organization.”

The First Amendment to the United States Constitution guarantees religious freedom to all Americans. A diversity of religious beliefs and practices spans the nation’s multicultural heritage. According to various polling reports, religion plays a “very important” role in American lives. The majority of citizens, nearly 80 percent, identify themselves as Christians.
Religion in the United States
There are no official directories for religious congregations in the United States, so sociologists must rely on statistical data gathered from national surveys. Unfortunately, the information they receive is up for debate. This is due to the fact that thousands of new churches welcome faith seekers each year, while thousands more close their doors for various reasons.
According to 2010 census estimates, the United States is home to 314,000 Protestant and non-denominational churches, 24,000 Catholic and Orthodox churches and 12,000 non-Christian religious organizations. Many large churches and parachurch organizations offer outreach ministries for evangelism, discipleship and more.
The ministry numbers are harder to count than churches since new ones open and close all the time. By most estimates, however, non-denominational Bible churches provide the greatest number of ministry opportunities. Not only do they reach their own members, but they also minister to people in nations around the world.

Christmas Recipes-Stuffed Eggs
These stuffed eggs are a great appetizer and are so easy to make. Use your favorite tuna salad recipe and these are sure to be a winner every time.
Ingredients
- 6 eggs
- 1 (6 1/2 oz can) water packed tuna; drained
- 2 tablespoon sweet
pickle relish - 1 tablespoon onion, minced
- 1 tablespoon pimento, chopped
- 4 tablespoon mayo
- 1 pinch dry mustard
- 1 pinch sage
- Black pepper
Instructions
- Cook eggs, cool, remove shells. Cut in half crosswise, remove yolks. Mix together tuna, pickle, onion, pimento, mayo and seasonings.
- Stuff each half with tuna mixture. Sprinkle with paprika.
Who Should Pay For Benghazi
You know what happened. Our Libyan Ambassador Chris Stevens was killed, along with two Navy Seals and another man. The problem was our government tried to pull the wool over our eyes. They said the Benghazi attack was because of some stupid anti-Muslim YouTube video. Now, we know, Benghazi was an attack which was planned to take place on the anniversary of 9/11. Officials in the White House were watching this event take place live and they refused to help our people in Libya. These men died and their blood cries out for justice.
So who should pay for Benghazi? I will be blunt. If the President lied, he should be impeached. Whoever watched this event live and refused to help these men should all lose their jobs. I don't care how high up it goes, these men are heroes and their blood cries out for justice.

I am one of those guys. I have trouble with low quality socks and underwear. I cannot wear clothing that is not comfortable. This is especially when it comes to socks. I cannot stand putting a pair of socks on that is uncomfortable. It can ruin my day and make it harder for me to deal. Life is hard enough, why wear uncomfortable socks. I Stand With Phil Robertson From Duck Dynasty
Dear A&E Network,
I am writing to you regarding your network's intolerant, discriminatory, and punitive treatment of Mr. Phil Robertson, star of A&E's #1 hit show, Duck Dynasty.
Mr. Robertson’s comments in GQ Magazine are simply reflective of a Biblical view of sexuality, marriage, and family – a view that has stood the test of time for thousands of years and continues to be held by the majority of Americans and today’s world as a whole.
Many members of the LGBT community may not agree with this view, but the notion that a free-thinking American should be discriminated against simply for expressing a perspective that is in conflict with another is patently un-American and flies in the face of true tolerance and civility. A&E's position, which in your own words is “championing” the gay and lesbian community — which I believe you have the freedom to do — excludes the views of Faith Driven Consumers and effectively censors a legitimate viewpoint held by the majority of Americans.
As a Faith Driven Consumer, I am signing this petition to demand that my views be treated with equality and respect in America’s rich rainbow of diversity.
I am asking your network to immediately reinstate Mr. Robertson to Duck Dynasty, and to formally apologize to him, his family, and the millions of viewers who tune in every week, stand by him, and share his worldview. While the LGBT community may be offended by his opposing viewpoint, your rash, discriminatory, and unfair treatment toward Mr. Robertson — a recognized symbol of the faith community — is a slap in the face to Faith Driven Consumers and everyday Americans alike.
There are 46 million Faith Driven Consumers in America today who spend 1.75 trillion dollars annually. Should you refuse to equally respect and welcome our legitimately held views, we will gladly stop watching this and all other A&E programming and turn to any reformulation of Duck Dynasty on another network – while simultaneously supporting brands that stand with the show and the Robertson family.

BlendTec Recipe-Eggnog French Toast
Your family will love this breakfast full of holiday flavors! Garnish with chopped pieces of candy cane for an added twist, and it's sure to become a holiday favorite for years to come!
Ingredients

eggnog
1⁄4 tsp
ground nutmeg
1 loaf
Texas toast
INSTRUCTIONS
Add eggs, egg nog, and nutmeg to FourSide of WildSide jar and secure lid. "Pulse" 5-7 time. Pour egg mixture into pie plate.
Grease griddle or other pan.
Dip one slice of Texas toast into egg mixture, and then flip slice to coat other side. Place slice on griddle over medium- to medium-high heat, and cook approximately 3 minutes or until underside is golden brown. Flip and cook approximately 1 mintue. Repeat with remaining bread slices. Keep warm in over at 200°F, loosely wrapped in foil, or serve immediately.

The Constitution
"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, ensure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America." — Preamble to the Constitution
The Constitution of the United States of America is the supreme law of the United States. Empowered with the sovereign authority of the people by the framers and the consent of the legislatures of the states, it is the source of all government powers, and also provides important limitations on the government that protect the fundamental rights of United States citizens.
Why a Constitution?
The need for the Constitution grew out of problems with the Articles of Confederation, which established a "firm league of friendship" between the states, and vested most power in a Congress of the Confederation. This power was, however, extremely limited — the central government conducted diplomacy and made war, set weights and measures, and was the final arbiter of disputes between the states. Crucially, it could not raise any funds itself, and was entirely dependent on the states themselves for the money necessary to operate. Each state sent a delegation of between two and seven members to the Congress, and they voted as a bloc with each state getting one vote. But any decision of consequence required a unanimous vote, which led to a government that was paralyzed and ineffectual.
A movement to reform the Articles began, and invitations to attend a convention in Philadelphia to discuss changes to the Articles were sent to the state legislatures in 1787. In May of that year, delegates from 12 of the 13 states (Rhode Island sent no representatives) convened in Philadelphia to begin the work of redesigning government. The delegates to the Constitutional Convention quickly began work on drafting a new Constitution for the United States.
The Constitutional Convention
A chief aim of the Constitution as drafted by the Convention was to create a government with enough power to act on a national level, but without so much power that fundamental rights would be at risk. One way that this was accomplished was to separate the power of government into three branches, and then to include checks and balances on those powers to assure that no one branch of government gained supremacy. This concern arose largely out of the experience that the delegates had with the King of England and his powerful Parliament. The powers of each branch are enumerated in the Constitution, with powers not assigned to them reserved to the states.
Much of the debate, which was conducted in secret to ensure that delegates spoke their minds, focused on the form that the new legislature would take. Two plans competed to become the new government: the Virginia Plan, which apportioned representation based on the population of each state, and the New Jersey plan, which gave each state an equal vote in Congress. The Virginia Plan was supported by the larger states, and the New Jersey plan preferred by the smaller. In the end, they settled on the Great Compromise (sometimes called the Connecticut Compromise), in which the House of Representatives would represent the people as apportioned by population; the Senate would represent the states apportioned equally; and the President would be elected by the Electoral College. The plan also called for an independent judiciary.
The founders also took pains to establish the relationship between the states. States are required to give "full faith and credit" to the laws, records, contracts, and judicial proceedings of the other states, although Congress may regulate the manner in which the states share records, and define the scope of this clause. States are barred from discriminating against citizens of other states in any way, and cannot enact tariffs against one another. States must also extradite those accused of crimes to other states for trial.
The founders also specified a process by which the Constitution may be amended, and since its ratification, the Constitution has been amended 27 times. In order to prevent arbitrary changes, the process for making amendments is quite onerous. An amendment may be proposed by a two-thirds vote of both Houses of Congress, or, if two-thirds of the states request one, by a convention called for that purpose. The amendment must then be ratified by three-fourths of the state legislatures, or three-fourths of conventions called in each state for ratification. In modern times, amendments have traditionally specified a timeframe in which this must be accomplished, usually a period of several years. Additionally, the Constitution specifies that no amendment can deny a state equal representation in the Senate without that state's consent.
With the details and language of the Constitution decided, the Convention got down to the work of actually setting the Constitution to paper. It is written in the hand of a delegate from Pennsylvania, Gouverneur Morris, whose job allowed him some reign over the actual punctuation of a few clauses in the Constitution. He is also credited with the famous preamble, quoted at the top of this page. On September 17, 1787, 39 of the 55 delegates signed the new document, with many of those who refused to sign objecting to the lack of a bill of rights. At least one delegate refused to sign because the Constitution codified and protected slavery and the slave trade.
Ratification
The process set out in the Constitution for its ratification provided for much popular debate in the states. The Constitution would take effect once it had been ratified by nine of the thirteen state legislatures -- unanimity was not be required. During the debate over the Constitution, two factions emerged: the Federalists, who supported adoption, and the Anti-Federalists, who opposed it.
James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, and John Jay set out an eloquent defense of the new Constitution in what came to be called the Federalist Papers. Published anonymously in the newspapers The Independent Journal and The New York Packet under the name Publius between October 1787 and August 1788, the 85 articles that comprise the Federalist Papers remain to this day an invaluable resource for understanding some of the framers' intentions for the Constitution. The most famous of the articles are No. 10, which warns of the dangers of factions and advocates a large republic, and No. 51, which explains the structure of the Constitution, its checks and balances, and how it protects the rights of the people.
The states proceeded to begin ratification, with some debating more intensely than others. Delaware was the first state to ratify, on December 7, 1787. After New Hampshire became the ninth state to ratify, on June 22, 1788, the Confederation Congress established March 9, 1789, as the date to begin operating under the Constitution. By this time, all the states except North Carolina and Rhode Island had ratified — the Ocean State was the last to ratify on May 29, 1790.
The Bill of Rights
One of the principal points of contention between the Federalists and Anti-Federalists was the lack of an enumeration of basic civil rights in the Constitution. Many Federalists argued, as in Federalist No. 84, that the people surrendered no rights in adopting the Constitution. In several states, however, the ratification debate in some states hinged on the adoption of a bill of rights. The solution was known as the Massachusetts Compromise, in which four states ratified the Constitution but at the same time sent recommendations for amendments to the Congress.
James Madison introduced 12 amendments to the First Congress in 1789. Ten of these would go on to become what we now consider to be the Bill of Rights. One was never passed, while another dealing with Congressional salaries was not ratified until 1992, when it became the 27th Amendment. Based on the Virginia Declaration of Rights, the English Bill of Rights, the writings of the Enlightenment, and the rights defined in the Magna Carta, the Bill of Rights contains rights that many today consider to be fundamental to America.
The First Amendment provides that Congress make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting its free exercise. It protects freedom of speech, the press, assembly, and the right to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
The Second Amendment gives citizens the right to bear arms.
The Third Amendment prohibits the government from quartering troops in private homes, a major grievance during the American Revolution.
The Fourth Amendment protects citizens from unreasonable search and seizure. The government may not conduct any searches without a warrant, and such warrants must be issued by a judge and based on probable cause.
The Fifth Amendment provides that citizens not be subject to criminal prosecution and punishment without due process. Citizens may not be tried on the same set of facts twice, and are protected from self-incrimination (the right to remain silent). The amendment also establishes the power of eminent domain, ensuring that private property is not seized for public use without just compensation.
The Sixth Amendment assures the right to a speedy trial by a jury of one's peers, to be informed of the crimes with which they are charged, and to confront the witnesses brought by the government. The amendment also provides the accused the right to compel testimony from witnesses, and to legal representation.
The Seventh Amendment provides that civil cases also be tried by jury.
The Eighth Amendment prohibits excessive bail, excessive fines, and cruel and unusual punishments.
The Ninth Amendment states that the list of rights enumerated in the Constitution is not exhaustive, and that the people retain all rights not enumerated.
The Tenth Amendment assigns all powers not delegated to the United States, or prohibited to the states, to either the states or to the people.
