Famous People Who Died On December 18

Dying is just like taxes in the respect that it is going to happen to you and me. Over history, we realize it doesn't matter who you are, you are going to face death. Famous people have no secret weapon against death. They are just like you and I. They will die. We will die. Death is a part of life. However, many of us look forward to eternal life in Heaven. After we all pass from this world, I hope to meet each one of you in a better place called Heaven.

1804-1892 - Richard Owen was an English zoologist, he coined the word dinosaur, he was outspoken against Charles Darwin's theory of evolution by natural selection
1892-1919 - John Alcock was a pilot, Captain in the RAF, piloted the first non-stop transatlantic flight dies in crash at 27, was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross
1897-1931 - John T "Legs" Diamond was a US gangster, was called Gentleman Jack, he was a bootlegger during the prohibition times, he was murdered in Albany, NY after numerous attempts on his life were unsuccessful.
1902-1971 - Bobby Jones Jr. was a famous amateur golfer (Grand Slam winner in 1930), was the most successful amateur golfer to compete on national and international levels, he earned his living as a lawyer
1915-1992 - Mark Goodson was a TV game show producer-winner takes all, what's my line, beat the clock, family feud, match game, the price is right and others.
1919-1993 - Sam Wanamaker was actor and film director, was a member of the American Communist Party, he quit party in 1947, dies of prostate cancer at 74
1964-1997 - Chris Farley was a comedian (Saturday Night Live, Tommy Boy), dies at 33 from cardiac arrest from a drug overdose, he was supposed to be the voice of Shrek, replaced on Saturday Night Live by Mike Meyers
1915-2000 - Randolph Apperson Hearst was the son of W. Randolph Hearst and father of Patty Hearst
1911-2006 - Joseph Barbera was an American cartoonist who won sevenAcademy Awards and eight Emmy Awards, he partnered with William Hanna, worked alongside Tex Avery who created Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, they worked on many of the older cartoons like Tom and Jerry and the Flinstones.
1932-2008 - Majel Barrett was an American actress who played Nurse Chapel in the original Star Trek series, was the wife and the widow of Gene Roddenberry, the creator of Star Trek
1932-2008 - Mark Felt was the infamous Deep Throat, American FBI official and whistle blower during the Watergate Scandal, you dirty rat
