Manny Pacquiao gets robbed by three clueless judges and loses a split-decision to Timothy Bradley in Las Vegas. Pacquiao dominated Bradley in nearly every round and hurt the fighter at least three times in the fight. Manny Pacquiao landed the most punches, hit Bradley with nearly 100 more power punches and hurt the fighter who left the ring with his belt. Manny Pacquiao did everything right in this fight. He controlled the fight, landed the best shots, hurt the other fighter and showed sportsmanship when the judges took his belt away.
Where does this leave boxing?
Those in the capacity crowd at the MGM Grand Garden Arena rained downed boos when the decision was read. Millions of boxing fans left their television in disgust when Manny Pacquiao lost his belt to Timothy Bradley. The sad thing is Bradley and his trainers also knew he lost this fight. This was the worst decision in boxing history. We all know it and it is time to do something about it.
Boxing and booing has become synonymous over the years. Boxing is filled with corruption and the judges do not know as much as they should about the sport they are judging. In my opinion, boxing is dead. It was laid to rest tonight when Timothy Bradley was given a decision over the champion who dominated him through the entire fight. The judges are corrupt and so are the promoters. The only thing left for boxing is who can make the most money before the die-hard boxing fans turn their noses at the sport and call foul.
We hoped for Pacquiao vs. Mayweather Jr. for the longest time and it has been tainted on a night like tonight. There will no longer be a Pacquiao vs. Mayweather Jr. because what's the use. The two fighters could fight their hearts out for twelve rounds and three corrupt judges will decide who they want to win, not necessarily who actually won the fight.
I will no longer watch boxing, this tainted decision has made up my mind for good. Manny Pacquiao was robbed and I feel like I was robbed right along with him. Millions of fans paid a pay per view fee and in the end every one of them were robbed. The only thing that could have saved boxing tonight is if Timothy Bradley took the belt and put it where it belonged, in the hands of the true champion, Manny Pacquiao. Instead, he went along with the corruption and took a belt he did not earn. Shame on him and the judges who gave him a championship belt he did not deserve.
