Whaley's Big Adventure Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Product Description
Join Whaley on his big adventure in the ocean as he meets Whales of all different sizes. Written by 5 year old Alexander Luke and presented by his grandmother, award-winning children's author Carole P. Roman, this oceanic adventure of whale sized proportions will teach youngsters about the different whales that live in the oceans.

This was a cool book for kids. The one thing I did not like was it was a kindle edition and not a solid book. My kids can look at it on the iPad and love it, my daughter loves sea creatures and did a report for 2nd grade. This was good and she actually made her own drawings of the cute whale.

Award winning author, known for her very educational books about different countries, offers us the entertaining book of her five-year-old grandson Alexander Luke, who helps us learn about the different kinds of whales that live in the oceans, a fascinating subject that will grab the interest of children who will enjoy the book and learn from it.

Whaley is a young blue whale who wants to explore the ocean in an adventure to learn about the 40 different kinds of whales. He has several fascinating adventures such as hearing a humpback that sings a song for 10 to 20 minutes and sounds like a violin. We discover such things as whales being mammals that breathe air, have hair, and drink their mother's milk. They are the fastest creature in the sea, able to swim 30 miles an hour.

The book has clever primitive-type drawings of whales that kids will enjoy seeing.

Whaley is a blue whale and a mammal, which means he is warm blooded, and breathes air. Whaley is going on an adventure to explore the ocean and along the way he will encounter a lot of different types of whales. Whaley meets Owen the Orca and learns that Orcas are the fastest creatures in the sea. Whaley also meets Gary the Gray whale. Gray whales don't have teeth, instead they have a comb like strainer called a baleen. As Whaley continues on with his adventure he encounters Whale Sharks, Belugas and Sperm whales too. (borrowed from Goodreads.)

You can get the book in soft cover on Amazon. I would give the book four stars out of five as a Kindle edition, just because of the Kindle edition effect on kids that want the book. If I had it in softcover, the book would get a five because it is written by a five year old and illustrated by a famous relative. Very cute. This is the same kind of stuff I try to do with my kids, but I am not a famous author with a famous name. This gives this kid a great chance to get published and have more people read his cute book.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
