So everybody knows, this is how my reviews work. I will copy information about the product from Amazon, so you get the information from the companies own mouth about the product I will add a picture, then I will give you an opinion about the product in my own words. I think it is important to have the information from the company and an unbiased opinion, so you know the most about each particular product.

I received this product in exchange for an honest review. We love to watch all of the cooking shows. I always see them using a cooking thermometer to see if their meat is done. I always wanted one, but never had the chance to buy one myself. Today, I had the chance to review this one.

The MeasuPro Digital Cooking thermometer will imbue you with the utmost confidence to create the perfect dishes. It is designed to make food preparations simple. Peeking into the oven to check the doneness of the food you are cooking or baking is inconvenient and causes the oven temperature to lower drastically. With the MeasuPro Digital Cooking Thermometer there is no need for that. You can select from the list of pre-programmed meats and choose from the four levels of doneness according to your taste: rare, medium rare, medium, and well done. The thermometer will beep three different times at three different stages. The first alert is once the temperature gets close to the pre-set temperature, the second alert is once the food reaches the recommended temperature, and the last alert is when the food exceeded its recommended temperatures. You can also set a food to your desired temperature. All you need to do is slide the alert button on the side screen. The current temperature will be displayed. You can then set your desired temperature. Stick the long 36 inch probe into the center of the food, slide the alert button on the side screen, and close the oven door. The thermometer probe's cable diameter is small enough to allow it to be closed in an oven door without creating a heat leak. It has and extra wide measuring range of 32°F to 392°F. Reading are accurate and precise so you can rely on it. Features a LCD display with large size digits. MeasuPro is intent on reducing worries... and flopped dinners!

I tried this thermometer on a roast. I set it at the desired temperature and put the probe into the meat. The other part of this thermometer stays outside your oven and has a magnet to keep it stuck to the stove. The alarm goes off when you reach the desired temperature for the meat. I have never done this before, but I have watched them do it on plenty of cooking shows. The alarm went off and I checked the roast. The roast came out perfectly. My wife went through the entire process with me and agrees that this thermometer works great. We will continue to use it and look forward to how it will work with our turkey next Thanksgiving. Now when we watch the cooking shows, we can follow more recipes a lot better.
