Great Local Truck Driving Jobs

I had a hard time getting a job when I first moved to Florida. Everybody wanted to know how long I lived in Florida and when I said I just got here, they told me to come back in a year. I love to drive, so I checked out some driving jobs. I checked out valet jobs, pizza delivery jobs and Local Truck Driving Jobs. I hooked a job as a valet in a golf course community. It was cool driving all of the expensive cars at the country club. The people were nice and I had a great time.

The problem was I wanted to be a truck driver. I love driving from place to place and checking out the sites. Truck drivers are important to our economy and they are lucky. They make good money doing what they like to do and they help our economy flow. I kept checking out the advertisements on the internet, so I could get hooked up with the job I wanted.

I remember when I lived in Indiana. I had a truck route from Cincinnati to Louisville. I would pick up restaurant supplies in Cincinnati and I would drive to Louisville. It was cool to check out the Louisville Slugger company, the KY Derby and other fun places. I loved the job, but the economy went astray and I was laid off. Now I am in Florida looking for that perfect truck driving job, so I can explore more of our beautiful country.

What Does Television Teach Our Kids?

I love television. There are so many channels and hundreds of good shows to watch. However, what does television teach our kids? When I was a kid, parents complained about violent cartoons like Tom and Jerry. The cat and dogs beating on each other. Today, we have an entirely new problem within television shows.

You have cartoons that teach about sexuality, violence and how some things you don't believe in are okay. There are children and adult cartoon and sometimes on the same channel. My wife had no idea that the cartoon channel changed to adult cartoons at a certain time of night and our children actually watched a few of them. I saw the cartoons and explained to my wife how they changed at a certain time. Our children stay up later on the weekends and actually watched some weird cartoons.

Your friends favorite cartoons teach our children everything you don't want them to know. South Park teaches politics, sex, bad language and everything is okay. How many children have watched South Park because their parent loves the show? I am even shocked at the things I have seen on the show.

 The Family Guy-One of the favorite adult cartoons on television that many children watch. This show teaches crazy things about sex and adult situations that you would never want your children to learn. Problem is many televisions in the United States play the show with their small children watching it. We watch it because it is funny and do not pay attention to what shows like this does to our children.

It began years ago with the so called violent cartoon we watched while growing up. The Simpsons pushed a little further and made cartoons more adult. The children on the show did everything you do not want your children to do. Now today we have cartoons that are incredibly bad for our children. I am watching South Park right now (As my children are in school) and I am in shock. The show teaches how sexuality, gay relationships, cussing and perversion is just normal day life. I am amazed at what I see. Every episode is worse than the next. And we wonder why our teenagers say the things they do to us. The show will not be played on my television, I watched it to see what it was about.

As a delivery guy for twenty years, I have seen everything. Not only are American's allowing their children to watch these shows, they are smoking pot and drinking in front of their children while they watch theses shows. You ever wonder how so many teenagers get hooked on pot, maybe it is time to take a look at the parents. If you want your children's minds warped, let them watch these crazy television shows. If not, maybe it is time we monitor everything our children watch and leave it to ourselves to teach them what is right and what is wrong.

The Less Traditional Las Vegas Wedding

Traditional weddings are cool, but they are not the only way to get married. Traditional weddings can be expensive and full of stress. The day is nice, but the build up can wear out the entire family. Some people think it is more fun to get married in a less traditional way. I have had some friends who decided to check out the Las Vegas wedding instead of the more traditional church wedding.

I am sure you have seen these cute chapel weddings in Las Vegas or Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The weddings are very romantic, less stressful and much less expensive. My friend married his wife in Las Vegas and they have fond memories of their small chapel service. They didn't have to deal with all of the stress of a traditional and the wedding was all about them and their future.

We live in a different world than we used to. Less people get married, most would rather live together just in case things don't work out. The meaning of marriage has been lost in translation in our society. The traditional marriage is still sought by some, but many people would rather get hitched in a less traditional ceremony called a chapel bell wedding. I was married in a church around the same time my friend was married in a chapel in Las Vegas. Both of us are still happily married to our wives and consider our marriages a lifelong commitment.

Having Fun With Wheat Pennies

I love coins and so do my kids. I think it is cool to hold a hundred year old coin in your hand,. My children get excited when they see a penny. Do you remember the time when you actually was happy when you found a penny?

Get a penny book, 1909-1940 or 1940-1958. These are all wheat pennies. Go to eBay and buy a lot of wheat pennies. When they come in the mail, go through them with your children. Take the pennies that fit into the book and help your children fill the books. Your children will get a kick out of this. Keep the books for your children and give them to them when they get older.

The cool thing with wheat pennies are they are pretty cheap and never lose their value. If you are lucky, you will find a valuable wheat penny. I actually found a 1931s one time in a roll of wheat pennies I bought for three dollars.

Having fun with wheat pennies is fun and is a hobby that can build a bond between you and your children. As you check out the coins, you can teach them a history lesson. You could look up some things that happened during some of the dates on the pennies.

How to Overcome Bankruptcy

We all make mistakes when it comes to our finances. I remember when I was young, I never thought about my credit. I used credit cards incorrectly and I wasted too much money. Eventually, I found myself in a bad financial situation. I was in debt and the creditors were calling me everyday. A few companies were taking me to court and I knew it was time for me to seek a lawyer. I looked up an ad on the internet that talked about the best bankruptcy lawyers in the country. It's Time For The Rays To Upgrade With A New Stadium

The Tampa Bay Rays are in first place in the American League East. They have a 9-1 record at home and they are one of the best teams in baseball. The Rays have an exciting team, with good pitching and defense. You would think all of their games are sold out, but they are not. Monday night, the Rays beat the Seattle Mariners in front of 9500 fans, last night the Rays beat the Seattle Mariners in front of just under 10,000 fans. Tropicana Field holds 37000 fans, more if you open up all of the covered seats in the upper deck. The question is why the Ray's attendance is low at Tropicana Field.

Tropicana Field Itself-Tropicana Field is ugly from the inside out. The stadium does not look like or play like a Major League Baseball Stadium. The downstairs is well-taken care of, but the upstairs is ugly. The downstairs is cleaned well, but the upper deck is dirty and stays dirty the entire year. When it rains, the upstairs leaks all over the place. There is nothing upstairs for children. All the fun stuff is downstairs. If you don't have the money to pay for the good seats, you get stuck in the upper deck prison of Tropicana Field. The people in the stadium are nice, but it does not make the stadium nicer. The only thing upstairs is a party deck, bar and a few food stands which are not open when the stadium is empty. Tips-during slow weekday games, the owners of the Rays should have $5 tickets and food specials to get more fans out to the stadium. You don't make a dime from empty seats. Put something fun upstairs for children. Give fans a reason to come back to Tropicana Field. There is no longer free parking at Tropicana Field, the food and drinks are too expensive.

St. Petersburg-St Petersburg is not a fabulous town. The place is fun to visit, but the beaches are the most desirable part of the city. St. Petersburg is touted as the most depressing and most dangerous city in America. Makes you want to visit the place. St. Petersburg is dangerous, the economy is bad and many homeless people walk the streets. There are also gangs around the city who are looking for some action. Tropican Field is in a horrible location, a place where people just don't feel safe. It is in an area where even police officers have been killed. The only person who thinks the Tampa Bay Rays should continue to play in Tropicana Field is the mayor of St. Petersburg. Even the expensive mall downtown went out of business.

Location and Transfer-The population around Tropicana Field does not have enough people to guarantee a sellout every night. Many people in St. Petersburg are fans of other Major League Baseball teams. There are NY Yankee fans, Boston Red Sox fans and other fans from other Major League Baseball teams. They come when their team is playing and their team is not the Tampa Bay Rays. Many of the Spring Training stadiums are sold out every game because their fans support their team. Sadly, most of the Spring Training facilities are better baseball stadiums than Tropicana Field.

Can The Tampa Area Support A Major League Baseball Team?-yes, but the team has to be good (The Tampa Bay Rays are excellent) the stadium has to be up to date (Tropicana Field is outdated) The location has to be accessible to more people (Tropicana Field is accessible to a small group of people) Large companies have to support the team (The Tampa Bay Rays do not have enough support from large companies)

A New Stadium-The Tampa Bay Rays will have to build a new stadium in a new location or they will move to another city. Major League Baseball is already complaining about the Rays attendance. The owner of the team is complaining about attendance. If you have been to the stadium, you know it is time to upgrade. The Tampa Bay Rays do things right on the field, it is time the team is supported as one of the best teams in Major League Baseball. The major of St. Petersburg needs to take one for the team instead of playing his selfish games. It's time for the Rays to upgrade with a new stadium.

Thankful To Have A Good Dentist Wherever I Go

I used to hate going to the dentist. I remember as a little boy, the dentist scared me to death. I hated the huge needle he stuck in my mouth and I hated the pain. I remember one time when the dentist gave me medicine through the needle, but I still felt most of the drilling. I screamed out loud when the dentist began drilling into my teeth. Good thing dentists are much more advanced than they were when I was a little boy.

In the army, the dentist was incredible. I had a bad tooth and he pulled it without me feeling any pain. The drill Sgts. decided to make fun of me, so they made me go to the mess hall right after I had my tooth pulled. I had to eat food even though I could not feel my mouth. Everybody laughed at me when they saw me drooling food. I got the last laugh because after the medicine wore off, there was no pain. I look back and laugh at that moment in basic training. I am thankful the dentist and his equipment were advanced enough to do the job without pain.

The next time I used a dentist was when I was on vacation. I woke up with a horrible tooth ache and my mouth was swollen. I needed to see a dentist immediately, so I looked for one in the telephone book. I found dentists in nashville tn and called one up that accepted my insurance. I told them the problem and they fit me in the same day. They found out I had an infection in my tooth, gave me some antibiotics and told me to go to my dentist when I got home to Tampa. The pain went away the next day and I was able to finish my trip in Tennessee. I saw my dentist when I got home and he fixed my tooth. I was thankful to have a good dentist wherever I go.
