Try A Nice Vacation To Cape Cod and Enjoy Martha's Vineyard

My family loves vacations. It is nice to go somewhere where you can actually relax and enjoy your time together. This year we decided to go to a different part of the country. We usually go to Orlando, California or the Philippines. We enjoy all of those trips, but sometimes change is good. I have family in New York and the vicinity. I remember as a kid going to Cape Cod one summer. The trip was one of the most enjoyable moments of my life. The area is beautiful and the food is fresh. This is the perfect area to bring your family to have a good time and relax.

I decided to go online and put together a vacation to the Cape Cod area. I made a search for Marthas Vineyard hotels and found the perfect spot for us to stay. I showed all the information to my wife and she finally became excited. She has never been to that part of the country and always wanted to check it out. I booked the vacation and the flights that same evening. Now we had something to look forward to, a vacation at Martha's Vineyard.

What is cool about Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard is there is so much to do. The place is beautiful, the food is delicious and there are activities for the entire family. I loved going bike riding and enjoying the cool breeze in the evening. I also enjoyed the beach and the ride we took on a speed boat. Mostly, I loved researching the area and relaxing in our hotel. Finding That Perfect Moving Company in Austin

A friend of mine is planning a move to Austin. They received a job offer, accepted it and now they have to move. My friend now lives in Austin. The moving company moved his family to Austin without any problems. They were professional and friendly. This took a lot of the stress of moving off my friend and his family. He was able to jump into the new job and his family was able to get settled in Austin. They love it in Austin, but we still miss him and his family. We can't wait until next summer when we get the chance to visit our friends in Austin.

Becoming A Better Father-The Evaluation

Being a father is an on the job situation. You learn from your mistakes and try to become a better father each and every day. I have been told I am a good father. I have a girl who turns six this month, a boy who is eight and a sixteen year old daughter. My sixteen year old daughter tells me I am not too good of a father. She finds everything I do wrong and has once in awhile told me she hates me. I believe this is a part of growing up and maturing.

I came up with my own list of things I need to do to become a better father to my children. Some of the things I do already, but you can always do better. Here is my list. Loving your children is a no-brainer, but it is on my list. We all love our children and if we don't, they have to deal with a lot of emotions they never should have from the start.

Pray for them every day of their lives

Listen To My Children

Get Involved with things they enjoy

Love them through all of the good times and the bad

Involve them in my hobbies if they want to be involved

The list could go on and on. I do many of these things already, but I want to continue to remind myself how important I am as my children's father. I grew up in a horrible household, my father was a raging alcoholic, who did all kinds of bad things to many people. My purpose in this life is to be the best father possible. I hope you will write a list about become a better father every day of your life. Your children will love you for it.

Family Picture From The Past

I'm guessing this picture is about twenty years old. Up in front is my nephew Josh-He was a little boy in the pic, but he graduated from West Point, was a general's aide in Afghanistan and is now medically retired from the service at the age of 25. He is expecting a child with his wife in August, this is their first child.

Above him is his father and my brother Charles. Sadly, he did not get enough of the good looks of the family, he lives in Upstate NY near Albany, watch out if you visit, he is still a smart aleck.

The little boy in the middle is Christopher, he is an Eagle Scout. His mother is in the picture above him. Her name is Charlottee and she is my youngest sister. Charlottee lives in Syracuse where she stays just far enough away from the family to make her comfortable.

I am the dude with the mustache. I used to sport one when I was younger and dumber. Now I am a married man with three beautiful children, I was the only smart child who moved out of NY and to Florida. I love the warm weather.

The lady next to me is my older sister Ellen. She is a mother and grandmother. Yes, she is old and she knows it. She takes care of her family and her three year old grandchild Lilliana while her daughter goes to college to become a nurse. Ellen is still stuck in the cold weather of Pulaski, NY. Yes, that is the place where all of the Salmon fishermen come to visit and drive the town crazy while they try to empty the Salmon River of all its Salmon.

Another Family Recipe: Sweet Potato Recipe

Serves: 6-8 (3 yams or sweet potato) or 8-10 (4 yams or sweet potato)

3-4 large fresh yams - Boil for 25 minutes with the skin on (I usually cut them up a bit)

Peel, return to pan and mash

Add: ½ cup butter/marg melted (nuke 1 stick cut in pieces 25 secs or less)

½ cup sugar

2 eggs beaten

1 Tbspn vanilla

Mix the above together until lumps all gone and put into 2-3 qt serving casserole dish

Topping

1 cup brown sugar

½ cup flour

1/3 cup softened butter, almost melted

½ cup chopped walnuts - how finely chopped is your choice

Mix topping items above together and spinkle/distribute evenly over top of casserole.

Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 45 mins.

Impress your guests and enjoy! This recipe is made for small parties or a group of friends. If you have twice as many people, double the batch.

My Whole Family Has a Sweet Tooth

My children love candy. My son loves chocolate bars and my daughter loves lollipops. I also love chocolate bars, the more the merrier is my motto. We all love the holidays that have something to do with candy. My children love to go trick or treating on Halloween, they love Valentines Day and they love all they chocolate bunnies they get on Easter Sunday.

We love to wait until after the holidays and search out the stores who deeply discount their candy. Target usually puts their candy on discount for 90 percent and we load up. My son and I grab all the chocolate we can handle and my daughter makes sure we get her some lollipops. We are one of those families who just can't get enough of our sweets. Our dentist hates it, but we believe it is worth the risk.

I know by now, you think my family is nuts for loving candy, but don't worry. We love chocolate bars with nuts in them too. We aren't picky. My son loves his dark chocolate the best and I love milk chocolate. My daughter likes chocolate too, but she would rather spend her time enjoying a delicious lollipop. Stop by our house sometime and we will offer you a treat. you won't be sorry.

Party Like a Filipino American

I'm American, my wife's Filipino-still can't get used to leaving the head on the fish to cook it.

My daughter loves Filipino parties and she loves the food, must be the Filipino blood in her.
