Our Children Look Forward To New Bunk Beds

My kids are at the age where they want bunk beds. They saw them in the store and they are ready. Khloe is five and she wants pink pillow cases and sheets. Kyle is eight and he wants his sheets to be Star Wars sheets. They have no problem sleeping in the same room as long as their beds look like they want them to look.


Khloe is braver than her older brother and she wants to sleep in the top bunk. Kyle is fine with it because he does not like heights. They both think the bunk bed ladder is cool and fun at the same time. We looked on Bunk Beds AtoZ to get some ideas for their new bunk beds. They have all kinds of cool bunk beds to

Bunk beds are cool because they are both comfortable for your children and they save room. They even make some bunk beds large enough for parents to sleep in when you are in a pinch. On a recent trip to my sister's house in NY, my teenager slept in a large bunk bed and she said she had plenty of room. My sister offered to give me the bed, but we live 1300 miles apart and it just would not be worth the trip. Our plan is to buy bunk beds for our two small children sometime later this year. They are excited and can't wait until they get their new bunk beds. We are hoping to find a bunk bed that has a bunch of storage and book cases. I hope we are not asking for too much.

Pet Names (Boo)

Boo is the pet name I have for my little girl. I wrote this poem when she was two. She is four now and I still call her Boo. The name stuck and the whole family calls her Boo. Pet Names are another way you can make your children feel special. This is a poem I wrote for my little girl.

Boo

Boo was two
two was Boo
I want to eat
myself a Boo

I start with her tummy
It's oh so yummy
little Boo
thinks it's really funny

I bite her nose
her little nose
little Boo giggles
No! No! No! No!

she growls back at me
my little Boo
I'm not quite sure
what I shall do

I grab her feet
and nibble her toes
little Boo nibbles back
on the end of my nose

Boo is two
two is Boo
my heart is now full
from eating my Boo

Pet Names are a fantastic way to show your children how special they are to you. We do not always get all the time we want to spend with our children. Making them feel special during those few moments in a day you have can fill your children's hearts with joy. In fact, your heart will be filled too. Enjoy your children while they are still little like my Boo. Boo was two, now she is four. Time goes by very fast, enjoy every moment.

The Parent Trade-Off

Doug is a stay at home father who works while his children are in school. He is married with two small children and his wife is a school teacher here in Florida. He cleans fancy restaurants, tutors and helps students with their college work.

I am a stay at home father with three children. My wife is an accountant, my two small children are in Catholic School and my fifteen year old takes virtual school. I deliver pizza at night while my children are sleeping and I am an in the stands vendor for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Miami Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars, Florida Marlins, Tampa Bay Rays and Orlando Magic. I work home during the day as a blogger and write when I get a chance (not very often).

The Trade-Off-Last night, I worked until two in the morning with Doug cleaning one of his restaurants. We spend an hour and a half waiting for everybody to leave because the owners were wrong about the time. This is part of what he deals with in this sort of business. We spent two hours cleaning the store and the dust under very expensive alcohol.

I received an expensive beer from Germany while I was waiting, fifty-cents I found on the floor and Doug will pick my children up from bowling next week and bring them home. I will be on my way to a vending event in Orlando. Doug received the pay for my two hours of work. This is one of those Parent Trade-Offs friends like us do to help our lives run smoothly. I'm sure there are other stay at home moms and dads out there who do the same things to keep the family running as smoothly as possibly.

Doug is working on his Masters degree and I have no degree yet. I have 118 hours of college and hope to finish in the future. Our wives have their degrees and both of them are from the Philippines.

My Wife Got Her License To Drive

My wife got her license to drive today. I know big deal. This is a big deal to our family. My wife is from the Philippines and she never drove in Cebu. She is now 44 and I drove her to work and back for the past ten years. This is a huge step for her and our family. She no longer has to completely depend on me for everything.

I have been a stay at home for eight years and have had to work as a pizza delivery guy at night. My children are now in school full-time, so this move really helps me. My wife getting her drivers license gives me the ability to work around my children's schools and my wife's work. I do not have as much responsibility as I have had in the past ten years.

Spending Time With Your Kids

When you stay at home with your kids, you are lucky  because you get to spend time with them. Your children are also lucky  because they get to spend time with you. Here are some tips to remember.

Enjoy each hug and kiss because your children grow up too fast

Correct, but try not to yell, you don't want your children to be insecure

Pray for your kids every day

Pray with your kids every day, in this world we need all the prayer we can get

Eat dinner with your children as often as you can

Let your children share with you what happened in school

play games with your children

play video games with your children, so you know what they are playing\
sports are fun and give your children the exercise they need

I'm not an expert on how you should treat your children. My children have been teaching me these things since the moment they were born. The more I learn from them, the closer the bond is between us. God bless all and have a happy day.

The Kid's First Visit To Pump It Up

My five year old daughter was invited to a birthday party at Pump It Up and my seven year old son was also allowed to attend. The kids were excited and I had no idea what the place was.

All the kids had a blast. The Parent's had a good time too. We ate pizza, ice-cream and cake at the end of the play time and watched the honored guest open her gifts. The first time at Pump It Up was a really good time

The Video Game Bug Has Hit Our Family

My son loves video games.Enough to start sneaking in online video game design classes between his regular ones? We'll see.  He loves to play Little Big Planet on our Playstation 3, he loves to play games on his DS and he loves the family games on our Wii system. My son is seven and he is a gamer at heart. He even loves war games, but don't tell his mom. She doesn't like video games and really hates war games. My son has the video game bug deep within his heart.

One day my son was on the web and he found a new game. He was excited because there was a free trial for this new game called plants vs zombies. He tried the game and was immediately hooked. He told me about the game and let me know he wanted it for his collection.

If you have a son like mine most likely he loves to play video games. The cost of these games can run into the hundreds of dollars. Sometimes, I wish there was a safe place online where my son could play all the games he wants to for one low price. In the long run it would be worth it because you know your children will be bugging you for all the new games as they come out on the market. The funny thing is they don't even understand the true cost of the games, they just want to play them.
