Freddy Frogface and Donkey X Movie Reviews

I was sent Donkey X and Freddy Frogface from Phase 4 Films to review. These were both great movies and you will find yourself favoring one or the other. I enjoyed Freddy Frogface the most, my children liked the entertainment quality of Donkey X.

FREDDY FROGFACE



Victor and his friends were the smaller children, nerds or runts. Whatever the other bigger and tougher children want to call them. They are fun little kids, but there is a bully in town. Freddy Frogface is the bully. He is a lonely boy, who is big and who is mean. He beats up Victor and his friends because beating up other children seems to be the only thing he is able to do. We have all seen bullies and Freddy Frogface fits the mold perfectly. Victor wants to perform in a talent show with his dog and Freddy is intent on ruining it.

The film is filled with fun and lessons about dealing with bullies. Victor and his friends use their brains to deal with bullies. Freddy Frogface can do but one thing. He is a good bully with no other talents. He has the size and the power, but Victor and his friends have the brains. This film teaches one how to deal with bullies in a fun way. The animation and the movie was fun, my children thought the film was awesome. It is also great to see small children beat the bully....


DONKEY X



Follow Rucio, the most adventurous, brave, and mischievous donkey of Castile as he tells the true story of the legendary Don Quixote. Rucio jumps at the opportunity to join Don Quixote on his quest to battle The Half Moon Knight and overcome the dangerous obstacles that lurks them on the way. 


This film is funny, laughable and a joy to watch. My children were interested in the movie from the very start. There is some light heart-ed fighting throughout the movie, but it is an adventure movie during a time of danger. This movie teaches children about the forces of good vs. bad, armor and knights. There is also magic spells, evil and good. 

This wasn't my favorite of the two movies, but it was fun to watch. I enjoyed the funny parts. I love how the chidken beat up a vicious animal. The best part of the fights in this movie was they were done without blood, danger or too much frightful stuff. This movie is fun and entertaining for your children and teaches them a little bit about the history of knights. Phase 4 Films did a great job on both of these movies.

Smitty Movie Review, Everyone Needs A Friendly Paw

Smitty is one of those movies you want to keep for your children. In today's world, there are not enough children's movies that teach a good story and are based on good Christian values. It is nice to see a movie that is fun and teaches our children good morals in a society that is lacking morals.



Ben is a thirteen year old boy who comes from a single parent family. Ben is an only child, a spoiled Chicago youth with an attitude. He is a loner at school because he's had to move around so much. Ben needs somebody who can put a smile on his face. This happens when Ben goes to his grandmother's farm for the summer. He meets a dog named Smitty who teaches him the importance of friendship, family and responsibility. Most importantly, Smitty puts a smile on Ben's face.


In spite of his mistakes, as more of Grandpa Jack’s own history is revealed, it becomes clear that he chose family over futile dreams of fame and fortune along the way. Forgiveness and reconciliation between family members are major themes. This is a movie about second chances and responding with perseverance in the face of adversity. Ben’s experience is the bridge that provides the opportunity for re-connection between his grandfather and mother. This enables them to start over and reestablish a loving, healthy relationship. Children can learn much from this story about the realities and difficulties of life – all while having the material presented in an appropriate and family-friendly fashion. 


Smitty is a great Christian film. It will teach your children about prayer, miracles and will touch upon God. The movie will teach your children the importance about family, love and friendship between an incredible dog and a troubled teenage boy. My children love the movie Smitty and I love the message it reveals. The movie is made by Phase4films.

ChildUp Early Learning Game Cards Review and Giveaway 5/25/2012

The ChildUp Company sent me two packs of early learning game cards;

Teach Your Child To Count To 10

Teach Your Child To Count To 20

The cards are designed for boys and girls 1 to 5. The learning cards have animals on one side of them and numbers on the other side of them. There is a card where you can teach your children what each animal is and a little something about them.

You can have your children count the animals on the cards and add them up. They will tell you how many animals while adding. The children love animals and are very interested in the cards and adding. My five year old is excited when she learns counting this way. The cards keep her attention and she loves to learn about the animals. I like that the cards help teach self-control because my daughter really needs to learn this.

There is also a card where you teach your children about bugs. This is very good for my daughter to know about bugs because she is afraid of bugs and it helps her to know facts about insects.

I decided to divide the cards into two groups. I took the first box and let my niece use them with her three year old daughter. Her name is Lilliana and she lives in New York State. We visited last week and I gave them the Teach Your Child to Count To 10. I used the Teach Your Child to Count To 20 for my five year old daughter because she already knows how to count to ten. This way I got a better idea about how the cards worked with two different children at different ages. Lilliana is intelligent for age and she caught on to the cards and counting fast. My daughter Khloe is intelligent, but takes time to settle down. She caught on to the cards quickly too because they were fun and she learned how to count higher.

What I also learned about the cards is they give adult/child time together in a teaching/learning situation. This was very good for my daughter because she needs structure around the house. She is a good kid who doesn't always listen well. During our time with the cards, I found she spent more time listening and learning.

This cup is interesting, cool and unique. We like it very much and we are still unsure if we are supposed to drink coffee out of it or use it as a decoration. I believe it is too nice for coffee. Yes, that is a fox at the bottom of the mug. The last item the Uncommon Goods company sent me is a stackable lunch pot. You have a spoon and two places to store your lunch. You can take the partitions apart and put your lunch in the microwave.  When you get home, you can take the partitions apart and wash them in the sink or the dishwasher. My wife loves this stackable lunch pot the most. Blok Squad 2442 Construction Site By Mega Bloks review

MEGA Brands sent me the Blok Squad 2442 Construction Site to review. The set is made by MEGA brands Inc which has its headquarters in Champlain, NY. The set consists of 395 pieces made of plastic and ready for your children to build. The set is an actual construction site with tractors and construction characters and other pieces to be put together by your children.

The Blok Squad construction site set is made for children five years and older because it has some small pieces younger children might choke on. This particular set would be cool for your little boy. I have a seven year old son and he loves this set. He plays with it for hours and loves to put everything together.

The Blok Squad set is made of plastic and would be a very nice Christmas present for your children. Megabrands has other sets at their Megabloks site that you can choose from and buy. The sets are cool and will bring you children loads of fun as they build and learn from each set. I give this Blok Squad construction site set a thumb up and so will your children. Thank you MEGA brands, this is a really cool toy.

Review of Squid Soap

The SquidSoap company sent me SquidSoap for my children to try out. The bottle is blue and cute and the soap is very interesting. SquidSoap was invented to teach children to wash their hands. SquidSoap is a fun soap dispenser designed for teaching children healthy hand washing habits.

This is how it works;  SquidSoap works by applying a small ink mark on a person's hand when they press the pump to dispense the soap. The ink is designed to wash off after the hands are washed for about15-20 seconds, which is the time recommended by most doctors.

The SquidSoap is a great idea if you have children who do not like or know how to wash their hands correctly. The soap has a nice citrus smell and is just regular hand soap. My children like the cute container and wash their hands regularly.

Mango Chipotle Zinger Almonds-These almonds are tasty with a zing. I like the taste of the nuts, they are a bit spicy, but are not too spicy. I like that the nuts have just enough flavor to satisfy, but are not overbearing


Cherry Vanilla Dream Almonds-These almonds have a nice cherry vanilla flavor that makes you want to eat more. They are a nice change from the spicier nuts the OLOMOMO Nut Company makes. I love Cherry Vanilla and I enjoyed every bite.


Righteous Cinnamon Cayenne Almonds-These almonds take you by surprise. When you bite into them, they have a smooth flavor that lingers and then the cayenne spice takes over. If you love spicy food, these are the nuts for you. I love almonds and I love the flavorful taste of these almonds


Chai Bliss Almonds-These are my favorite almonds from the OLOMOMO Nut Company. the company says they are a subtle sweet vanilla blossom floating on an aromatic cardamom journey. I say these almonds are smooth and tasty. I like how they have enough flavor, but not too much. I like these almonds the best because they taste natural and are still delicious.


The OLOMOMO Nut Company sent me four five ounce bags of almonds. I enjoyed all of the almonds, but the less spicy Chai Bliss and Cherry Vanilla were my favorites. The spicy almonds have tons of flavor too satisfy the almond connoisseur who loves to bite into nuts that have a bite.

The Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Company also sent us a one pound box of assorted chocolates. It is a great thing to have chocolate come directly to your door when you are a chocolate freak like I am. It took me seconds to open the package and rip open the box of chocolates. I tried my first piece of chocolate and it was delicious. All three of my children loved the chocolates and they disappeared very quickly.

Two year old Liliana was excited when her package came in the mail. She ripped it open and pulled out her new pink romper from Bungalowbebe. Liliana’s grandmother had to help her put on her new romper. At first the romper was snug, but loosened up and fit comfortably. The romper is pink, pretty and comfortable. Liliana wants to wear it all of the time. It is easy for her to undo when she sits on the potty. She just loves her new romper.

My children tell me the shampoo smells good and does not hurt their eyes. They love the shampoo, it cleans their hair and it is eco-friendly.  As a parent, I find the shampoo to be a great alternative to other kid’s shampoos you buy in the store. Besides being an eco-friendly product, the sunscreen has a SPF of 30+ which will protect your children from the sun.  We will be using Trukid’s Sunny Days Sports when we go to the beach tomorrow to protect us from the Florida sun.

My children really enjoyed the TruKid natural silly shampoo and we will use the sunny Day Sports sunscreen every time we go out in the sun!
