30 Days to Understanding the Bible Review

Do you want to learn the Bible but don’t have a lot of time? Do you need a quick refresher on what you already know? If so, 30 Days to Understanding the Bible is for you. With just fifteen minutes a day, for one month, you'll learn the Bible's key people, events, and doctrines. Using a proven study plan, author Max Anders breaks down the Bible’s structure so you can learn and remember the key points of the Bible’s text quickly.
30 Days to Understanding the Bible is the straightforward, easy-to-use guide to learning that Bible that’s been recommended by Bible teachers and pastors for 30 years.
Dr. Max Anders is the author of over 25 books. He has taught on the college and seminary level and is a veteran pastor. Max was also one of the original team members with Walk Thru the Bible Ministries. He provides resources and discipleship strategies at MaxAnders.com to help people grow spiritually.

I had the opportunity to review the 30 Days to Understanding the Bible. What I like about the book is it helps you break the Bible into more understandable sections. I always wondered about some sections of the Bible and this book helps you understand how each section fits to make the Bible whole. What I also like is how reading certain sections first can help you understand how they fit into the Bible. What this has done for me is given me a map on how to read my Bible differently in the future. It's always good to have a road map and this is what I consider this book to be.

I also see this book as a good teaching tool in the church in a reading club or even in Bible study class.

Gift Ideas for Men This Valentine's Day

Gift Ideas for Men This Valentine's Day

While Valentine's Day can be a fun holiday, it can also be stressful to try to decide what gifts you are going to get for someone that you love. After all, you want to show your loved one how much you care about them, but you also want to make them feel like they aren't obligated to give you exactly the same kind of gift. And, of course, you also want your loved one to feel like the gift is really personal and heartfelt, instead of simply picking up a card at the nearest store and signing your name on it.
For many people, finding gifts for men in their lives can be especially tough. Luckily, there are some basic guidelines that will help you to choose a gift for Valentine's Day that the men in your life will love. The most important question to ask yourself when choosing a gift is, "Will the person I am buying for truly enjoy this product?" In other words, think about the recipient of the gift more than you think about yourself. For example, you may prefer flowers or chocolate, but if your husband or boyfriend may prefer guantanamera cigars from a trusted supplier like Bellhop Cigars. Pick the gift he will use and enjoy, not the one that you would like for yourself.
You can also choose to get the man in your life something altogether different. Think about getting him the gift of an experience instead of some object. Tickets to a concert, sports game played by his favorite team, or play will make memories that will last a lifetime. Make sure that you join him in this activity so that you get to spend quality time together.
Finally, use language to show how much you really care. Write a nice note in a card to tell him how you feel. You don't have to be a poet, just write your feelings in plain, simple language. Sometimes a simple "I love you" really goes a long way.
