Farm Rich Snacks Review and Giveaway 7/16/2012

The Farm Rich Company sent us two coupons to try two of their products. We decided to get stuffed pretzel bites and mini quesadillas. The people at Publix were surprised we had free coupons, but we had no problem getting the products.


We tried the stuffed pretzel bites first because my kids really wanted them. They were delicious tiny pretzels filled with cheese. The Farm Rich products were easy to prepare. You just threw them in the microwave for a couple of minutes and our snack was ready. The children loved the pretzel bites and I loved the quesadillas. The kids were not as excited with the quesadillas, but the rest of the family loved them. I guess you have to have kids who like quesadillas to actually want to eat them.


The Farm Rich products disappeared quickly. The cost was $6.99 per bag and there was enough for about six hungry people. We didn't have to pay for the products because we had the free coupons. I will go back and buy some more in the future. The only problem we had is each store only carries a few choices of the Farm Rich products. If you haven't heard about Farm Rich products, your grocer likely has them, but you may have to ask them where they are located.

ChildUp Early Learning Game Cards Review and Giveaway 5/25/2012

The ChildUp Company sent me two packs of early learning game cards;

Teach Your Child To Count To 10

Teach Your Child To Count To 20

The cards are designed for boys and girls 1 to 5. The learning cards have animals on one side of them and numbers on the other side of them. There is a card where you can teach your children what each animal is and a little something about them.

You can have your children count the animals on the cards and add them up. They will tell you how many animals while adding. The children love animals and are very interested in the cards and adding. My five year old is excited when she learns counting this way. The cards keep her attention and she loves to learn about the animals. I like that the cards help teach self-control because my daughter really needs to learn this.

There is also a card where you teach your children about bugs. This is very good for my daughter to know about bugs because she is afraid of bugs and it helps her to know facts about insects.

I decided to divide the cards into two groups. I took the first box and let my niece use them with her three year old daughter. Her name is Lilliana and she lives in New York State. We visited last week and I gave them the Teach Your Child to Count To 10. I used the Teach Your Child to Count To 20 for my five year old daughter because she already knows how to count to ten. This way I got a better idea about how the cards worked with two different children at different ages. Lilliana is intelligent for age and she caught on to the cards and counting fast. My daughter Khloe is intelligent, but takes time to settle down. She caught on to the cards quickly too because they were fun and she learned how to count higher.

What I also learned about the cards is they give adult/child time together in a teaching/learning situation. This was very good for my daughter because she needs structure around the house. She is a good kid who doesn't always listen well. During our time with the cards, I found she spent more time listening and learning.

Mommy and Daddy Bloggers Love Promotional Items

Salsa Senorita Review and Giveaway 01/24/2012

The Salsa Senorita Company sent me a jar of salsa to try out. I am a chips and salsa freak, so this dad vs food situation was a perfect match for me. Lori told me I should stick with medium salsa because she makes her salsa kind of spicy. I am glad I took her advice. When the salsa arrived, my taste buds were watering. I had to have a taste. I grabbed the chips, my diet Pepsi and dug in. Lori was right, even the medium salsa was a touch spicy. It took me a few bites to get used to it, but I managed to take care of 1/3 of the jar before I gave into the spices.

Salsa Senorita is made out of all natural ingredients. It is flavorful, full of spices and on the spunky side. Mark & Lori make their salsa in New Mexico and it is delicious. They have been making this salsa and pleasing their customers for twenty-five years. I love salsa and I could tell theirs is made of natural ingredients. Food Should Taste Good Chips Review and Giveaway 11/22/2011

The Food Should Taste Good company sent us five bags of chips of our choice. We chose chocolate, The Works, Blue Corn, White Cheddar and cheddar. Food Should Taste Good are all-natural chips made out of real ingredients, they taste good and are better for you than other chips. We found the chips at our local Cosco and the chips can be found in other locations and can be bought through the Food Should Taste Good website. The company is trying to raise $100,000 dollars to help fight breast cancer. The chips are all natural, Kosher, no MSG, gluten free, no sodium, trans fat free, lactose free, cholesterol free, no preservatives, a good source of dietary fiber and not genetically modified.

Chocolate-The chocolate chips are delicious to me. The rest of my family don't like them because they don't believe chips should taste like chocolate. I believe everything should taste like chocolate and these chips are perfect for chocolate lovers like me. Are you hungry? I am eating them right now.

 The Works-The works chips are good tasting chips that the whole family loved. They tasted good plain or with dip. My children did not like the seeds on the chips, but the rest of us did not notice them. My wife loved these chips and could not get enough of them 

  White Cheddar and Cheddar-both of these chips had a light cheddar taste and were delicious. We loved the taste and knowing that the chips were naturally good for us. We ate these chips quickly because they were just that good.

Blue Corn-The Food Should Taste Good company obviously made the Blue Corn chips for dipping. They tasted good with salsa and spicy cheese sauce. I loved the taste and texture of these chips. They tasted good and I was disappointed when the bag was empty.

Pur-Gum Reveiw and Giveaway Ends 11/9/2011

We received four packs of gum from the Pur-Gum company. We received Pomegranate mint, spearmint, excitemint and peppermint gum. The gum has a powerful flavor that fades after a few moments into a good tasting gum. The advantage of Pur-Gum is the gum is Aspartame free and each pack contains nine pieces of flavorful gum. My children loved the pomegranate mint gum because it was flavorful and not too strong.

Most gums on the market are made with the ingredient Aspartame- a man-made synthetic sweetener that's been linked to many diseases. The FDA has listed 92 acknowledged symptoms of aspartame poisoning. (Straight from the Pur-Gum website) Pur-Gum is sweetened with Xylitol which is a naturally-occurring sugar alcohol found in corn cobs and stalks. This is much better than those gums that are flavored by aspartame.

Bad news for us was our Publix only carried three of their kid’s meals. My children chose the Rainbow Rice and Chicken and the Cheesy Quesadillas. Our Publix also carried the Spaghetti Loops Bolognese, but none of them seemed interested in them.

My fifteen year old girl liked the Rainbow Rice and Chicken Kidfresh meal, but she said the food needed salt and pepper. I took a taste and I believe it tasted pretty good. My two smaller children also opted for salt, but still enjoyed the meals. The Cheesy Quesadillas were very cheesy and tasty, there were no complaints.

 I like they style of the Kidfresh Company and their kid’s meals. It is nice to feed your children frozen food that you know is good for them and is designed by a pediatrician to give your children the best nutrition possible. I also like the fact that the Kidfresh Company is socially responsible. Their packaging is green which helps our environment, their foods are nutritious and they are a proud sponsor of Save the Children. When you buy a Kidfresh kid’s meal, you are also supporting a good cause.
