If you watched the videos, you can see we set up the reel, line and pole. Then we went out fishing with the kids. This is the smoothest reel I have ever used in my life. It took me a couple of casts to get used to it, but then it worked perfectly for me. There are no fish stories here. We did not catch the bass that were jumping all around us. We saw turtles and my son was zapped by three fire ants. My son was able to cast easily on the second try and you could see that happy gleam in his eyes. Today, it was too hot to catch any fish. Our water (in the lake) is down too because we are just getting into the rainy season. we had another one of those dry winter. We will be using this KastKing fishing reel here at our lake on our property and when we take a short trip to the ocean.

What I liked most about this KastKing reel was its ease of use. You put your thumb on the button and line and cast. You let off and the reel does the rest of the work. When you are bass fishing you use the smooth reel to pull your catch in. Today's catch was just a bunch of weeds, but I can tell we are going to catch a lot of fish with this new reel. The bass got the last laugh today, but tomorrow is another day. It is also cool that my children can use this reel because it is so easy to use. I believe it is the perfect reel for them to catch their first fish. This is the perfect reel to use in both fresh and salt water and we have plenty of both here in sunny Florida.
