A Vampire's Rise By VMK Fewings Review

VMK Fewings sent me her Stone Masters Vampire Series (3 books) signed and personalized so I can review them. The first book is called A Vampire's Rise and I just completed reading it. The book began in the 1400's with Orpheus as the main character. He was attacked and stabbed through with a sword, the rest of his family was also attacked and left for dead. A vampire Sunaria gave Orpheus the choice to become a vampire and he agreed to eternal life.

The rest of the book was about Orpheus, his rise as a vampire and his relationship with Sunaria. The book spanned 100's of years and the story was very interesting. If you like vampire books, this book is a real page turner. I love vampire books myself, but I don't enjoy too much romance. There was romance in A Vampire's Rise, but only enough to add to the story and the relationship between Sunaria and Orpheus.

Another interesting part of this book was Orpheus himself. He was a vampire who was rising, but also a man full of emotion. He worried about what was happening with his son and he did everything he could to make his son's life as normal as possible. He loved Sunaria deeply, but still had to put her in her place a time or two.

There was history within the book and there are the Stone Masters. The Stone Masters had a job, this job was to rid the world of vampires. Orpheus had conversations with the leader, mutual respect and eventually had to take care of the leader and many of his followers. The Vampire's Rise gets your lips wet and ready for the next two books in the series. I loved the book and I look forward to the next two books in the series. Another Victim of Dracula

I know dude, I shouldn't have gone to the castle, but it is too late now. She was hot and I had no choice. I mean I am only seventeen and a hot girl asks you to take her to a haunted castle. I thought the place wasn't real and now look at me, I am a mess. 
Any way, we had to sleep over and they even separated us into our own rooms. I didn't want to stay, but she was hot and I wanted to give her a good impression of me. I didn't want to come over as a nerd or worse, so here I am a mess.

Now it is over and I am levitating over my own body. This is rad. All I wanted to do was impress a hot girl and now look at me. I am a mess all over this beautiful room in this fake castle. The police are swarming my body and trying to find out what happened to me. I know what happened, that Dracula dude ate me. I am the latest victim of the notorious Dracula. That's right, I said it. I am a victim of Dracula. 

You don't have to believe my story, but it's true. Dracula is real. I didn't believe it before tonight. I mean, I made fun of the dude with my buddies and now look at me. I am a mess all over the sheets and parts of me even decorate the walls and the floor of this place. Now I believe, but it is too late. Don't let this happen to you. I think the hot girl lured me here because Dracula told her too. I wish I had it to do all over again, but it is too late. Should have thought about that last night. Let this be a warning to you. If a hot girl asks you to take her to a haunted castle, turn the other way and run for your life.
