What's Better Than A Trellis Filled With Beautiful Roses

Florida is a great place to build a garden. I love roses because they look great and smell beautiful. The aroma of roses reminds me of my late mother because they were her favorite flowers. She would love to go out to the garden and watch the rose bushes as they grew up the trellis. She would pick some of the roses and bring them into the house. I still remember the smell.

I love to go outside and look at our garden trellis when it is filled with beautiful roses. To me they are the most beautiful flowers in the world. I remember one time as a little boy I went into the neighbors garden and picked all of their roses so I could give them to my mother. She smiled, but told me it was wrong to steal roses from the neighbors. I broke one of their trellises and we had to pay for it. I guess it is the thought that counts.

Valentine's Day is one of the most popular days to give roses to your wife or girlfriend. I love roses each and every day because they remind me of the times when my mother would smile the most. I will always remember how roses made my mother happy.

Flowers For Valentines

I started a new tradition this year. I gave my wife roses for Valentines Day, but that was not the new tradition.

My five year old daughter loves flowers too and so does her older sister, so dad decided it was time to give both of them flowers for Valentines Day too

Dale and Thomas Valentine Chocolate Delight Six Pack Sampler 2/21/12

The Dale and Thomas Popcorn Company sent my daughter and I their Valentines sampler box of popcorns. The Valentines sampler box consisted of six bags of their delicious popcorn. I opened a bag of chocolate popcorn and ate the whole bag in one sitting. I’m sure this is not recommended, but the popcorn was delicious and I am a popcorn lover.

My daughter told me their cinnamon popcorn was the best. She previously reviewed some of Dale and Thomas popcorn and she loved the cinnamon popcorn. I tried the cinnamon popcorn and she was correct, it is delicious. Now I am trying the other four flavors and letting my children taste test them.  They are all delicious, but I agree with my daughter, the cinnamon popcorn is the best.

My kids love this popcorn and would eat every bit of it if I didn't stop them. They love all the flavors that have anything to do with chocolate. Both smaller children think the cinnamon popcorn tasted strange, but my older daughter and I think differently. This sampler has enough flavors to please your entire family.

A Different Valentine's Day

I know Valentine's Day is a month away. I have decided to find a different way of giving presents to my wife on this next Valentine's Day. I know women love roses or flowers on the holiday, some like candy. For us guys, it can get boring and expensive. Especially when you pay nearly a hundred bucks for a good dozen of roses.

Here is what I decided to do for Valentine's Day. And no worries, my wife never reads my blog so she will never know. After all of these years, she still thinks I am not romantic. I try to tell her differently, but it hasn't sunk in yet. For those of you who worry about roses, don't worry. I will still get her a dozen roses at Cosco.
 

I joined Listia about three weeks ago and have found my talent. I used to buy and sell on eBay for years and I am doing well on this Listia auction. I have given my wife four or five gifts and the surprise in her eyes gave me my idea for Valentine's Day.

 

I am collecting a bunch of goodies off Listia and saving them for Valentine's Day. I will make up a goodie bag filled with all of her favorite lady things, wrap it up and see what she thinks. I might throw in a poem and put those boring roses beside the gift. We will see what she thinks. If she likes it, fantastic, if not, back to the drawing board for next year.
