Experiencing Hockey With My Son

I took my son to a Tampa Bay Lightning game with his friend. They loved the game and cheered through all three periods. The best part of the game was the Lightning actually won and our whole family went home happy. As soon as we got home, my son wanted to know if he could play hockey. I told him I would check in to it, but I believed it would be very expensive. He also wanted me to be a part of his team as a coach.

I had never been a coach before, but I thought it would be cool to do something fun with my son. We found a local ice rink and I asked around about beginner hockey teams. My son never played before and I wasn't sure how long he stay interested in hockey. We met the coach of the team and he was willing to talk to us. He told us everything about the team and let us know there were openings. They needed more players who were beginning hockey players. I asked if I could help out and the coach agreed.

We have been going to practice for three months now. It has been a learning experience for both my son and I. He is having fun learning and I am learning online about how to coach hockey. I found a place has free hockey drills. The place is filled with great information about hockey and the coaching experience. It has been a joy sharing more fun time with my son. I don't know if he will ever become a hockey player, but he is having fun learning about it.

This is a sponsored post for Total Coach, however, all the points and
views are my own.

Searching For A New Truck In The Tampa Bay Area

I live in Tampa, FL and I am always looking for a good car or truck. Recently, I find myself wanting a used truck because we have been hauling a bunch too our house. I decided to make a search for tampa used cars on the internet to see what I could find. The stuff I found deserved a second look, so I saved the page until I got home from work. I wanted to find a used truck I could buy within a week.

I did a search for Ford F 150 and found a couple of trucks that fit and decided to take a closer look at them. When you live in Florida, you find the need for a truck in most of the things you do. Besides hauling things to our house, we love to fish and go to the beach. Some people like to haul boats, but we haven't reached that stage in our lives yet. We are more into fishing and crabbing from the shore. It suits us and our needs right now.

Finding a great place to buy a vehicle can be hard. Many businesses overcharge for the particular vehicle you want. Sometimes it is also hard to get credit approval. Your credit can determine the price you pay for the vehicle, so I decided I would check my own credit online. I didn't want to be surprised when I found the perfect truck. I wanted to make an offer, get approved and drive it home the same day. I can't wait to buy a new truck. I checked out the used car videos to get my feet wet and decided that tomorrow I will visit the dealership in search for my new truck.

The Tampa Bay Rays Still Do Baseball the Right Way in 2012

Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in MLB in 1947. He was the first black superstar at a time when racism was still a major part of our society. In 1947 there were still white and black bathrooms and black people were treated like second class citizens. Jackie Robinson led a group of black baseball stars into what we today call our national pastime.
Today, the Tampa Bay Rays still do baseball the right way. They choose their players based on talent and what they will add to the Tampa Bay community. The Rays do not sway away from African-American players. The Devil Rays selected Carl Crawford in the second round (in the 1999 draft) and he became one of their greatest superstars. It is a shame he moved on to the Red Sox, but such is baseball. In 2002, the Rays selected center-fielder B J Upton as the second overall pick. In 2003, they selected outfielder Delmon Young as the number one overall pick. When they had the number one pick in 2007, the Rays selected David Price who is now one of their best starting pitchers. The Rays picked infielder Tim Beckham with the overall pick in 2008. He is playing in their minor league system and was selected to the All Stars Futures Game in 2011.
"We're proud to have African-American players who are role models for the entire community, and proud of our efforts in renovating baseball fields throughout Tampa Bay so that even more kids can get into our game," said Rays executive vice president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman. "What's great about baseball is that for many decades now, it has been a meritocracy. Skin color doesn't matter; how you act and how you perform do."
In 1947, Jackie Robinson had to deal with prejudice because of the color of his skin. In the 1970's Hank Aaron receive multiple death threats because a black player passed a white player as the top home-run hitter in MLB. In 2012, color no longer matters in baseball. What matters is the talent of the player and what he will give to the community that surrounds him.
During Black History month, it is great to be a fan of a team who chooses its players for how they perform and what kind of people they are. The Tampa Bay Rays bring a exciting product on to Tropicana Field. They choose young men who are both exciting players and good people. It does not matter what race they are, what matters is what they can bring to the team.....
