Go Green and Help The Poor At The Same Time

Anyone wanting to go green and help the poor may like this idea. Many people are going green these days. We believe it is time to give back to our environment. Maybe we can take a few steps today and save the beauty of our world for our children. Why not take it one more step? You can actually save the environment and help the poor or any other organization you are interested in. Here's how.
Many of us save our aluminum cans and place them in the recycle bin. The trash people take the aluminum cans away and they recycle them.Recycling aluminum cans saves precious natural resources, energy, time and money - all for a good cause - helping out the earth, as well as the economy and local communities. If an individual person saved their aluminum cans, skipped the recycle bin, they could save these same cans for something more important.
Take your aluminum cans and place them in a plastic grocery bag. If they are beer cans, rinse then out before you place them in a grocery bag. Store the bag in the garage. If you don't have a garage, store the bag of aluminum cans where you keep your trash. Once you collect about one hundred cans, take the cans to the recycling place yourself. There are about eighteen aluminum cans in a pound. You can receive about seventy cents per pound at the recycling center. The price varies because aluminum is one of the lesser precious metals. An individual could receive three to four dollars for one hundred cans. You could take your three to four dollars and give it to the poor or any organization of your choice. Individually, you could make a small difference and actually help people. Now you are ready to take the next step.
You learned how to help the poor by saving aluminum cans. By now, you may wonder if your few dollars have really made a difference. What if there were a whole bunch of people (like you) who want to make a bigger difference? Go to your church or your school and let them know about your idea about helping people by saving aluminum cans. Take your new idea to your church. Talk the preacher or priest, they will be glad to lead you in the right direction. Share your idea and save your aluminum cans with other meaningful people. One hundred people working together can make a big difference in our world. The four dollars you made saving cans can be multiplied by one hundred times. The group of people can make an even larger difference and actually help more people.
