Make Sure You Prepare For Your Visit To Another Country

You ever been in another country looking for an apartment queenstown? It's a tough find. That is why it is smart to figure things out before you arrive. We like to travel and we learned the hard way. If you forget things, you pay for it when you reach your destination. I like to have a friend help me, or if it is a country i'm not familiar with, it's time to do some research. If you exercise like me, make sure you bring your blood pressure monitor too or you will be sorry. Everything is different when you travel, so make sure you are prepared.

I would love to take a working vacation to a place like New Zealand. If would be cool to find a job and spend six months or a year in the country. I would love to get to know the people, look at the sites and really feel what it is like to live in another country. This also takes preparation. You would have to get hooked up with Recruitment Agencies before you left on your vacation. You would also have to make sure you are actually allowed to work in this other country. You better have all of your gear and paperwork in order if you plan on visiting another country. This is true if you plan to spend a couple weeks or stick around for a year.

Another Look At the iTunes App News-O-Matic

My son had the chance to check out News-O-Matic, he loved it. Here is some information about this great resource for kids.

News-O-Matic is an educational news app that covers breaking news, sports, science and much more in an accessible and kid-friendly way.

Targeted to kids ages 7-10News-O-Matic is a week day newspaper application which includes five daily news stories, detailed images, videos, illustrations, maps, timelines and games. P4K’s objective is to inspire a generation of children to become habitual news readers and well-informed global citizens.

News-O-Matic gives children the opportunity to explore the latest current events through the app, while also giving them a voice to express their views. Children can interact with the Editor-in-Chief by rating stories, drawing pictures, asking questions or expressing opinions about current topics in the “News Room” section of the app.

Created by a skilled team—including child experts, designers and entrepreneurs—News-O-Matic aims to transform the news experience for children in a safe, interactive environment while encouraging them to become knowledgeable, productive members of society.

Making sense of the current tragedies around the world from the Boston marathon bombings, to the Oklahoma City Tornadoes to the recent terrorist attack in London can be quite a challenge for adults, let alone children. As parents know, children process these things differently.  They may be asking difficult questions and parents may need suggestions to help discuss what happened and address their concerns. Since directing them to the New York Times to read about it or any other news source is not an option, Press4Kids developed News-O-Matic.

My son loved the app, he said it was fun and interesting. My eight year old son Kyle got the chance to check out News-O-Matic. We were able to get the free download on Itunes to check it out. He loved the colorful pictures and looking at the news. He checked out an alligator called Mr. Stubbs, an alligator who had his tail bitten off by another alligator. Mr. Stubbs now has a prosthetic tail to help him swim. He also learned black smoke came from the Vatican chimney which means no pope was picked. News-O-Matic also has puzzles and games your kids can play with. The best thing about this app is it is educational for your children. They get to watch the news in a kids way and don't have to deal with all of the violence mom and dad get when they watch their news.

Kids love to watch the new too, News-O-Matic is a chance for them to watch the news their own way, this educational device is great for children between the ages of 7-10. My six year old girl will tell you it is great for her too. You can buy this News-O-Matic app on Itunes. News-O-Matic is also a great app for teachers who want to teach their children about the news. Summer vacation is coming, News-O-Matic would be a great way for your children to keep up with the news.

Disclaimer: I was given the chance to review this News-O-Matic app, the views and opinions are my own.

My Week Post For Revolt

This is my Revolt update for last week. My weight has just slipped under 200 pounds for the first time in years. This, despite being sick for most of the past month. My latest sickness is due to my allergies. Allergies are horrible in Florida this year. I have had dizzy spells for the past week and am looking forward to the change of seasons. It has just begun to rain everyday and hopefully will wash all the bad things away. The thing most people don't know about Florida is if you have allergies, you will suffer.

I am unable to do the exercise to the best of my ability yet. I still give it all I have, but the dizziness slows me down. On the other hand, the diet is what I am able to follow better. I enjoy eating good food and feeling healthier. My clothes are getting looser and I feel much healthier. I believe this diet cleans out the system and makes you feel much better. Below is some information (I copied from another blogger who is doing the Revolt system) This tells you exactly what you get for 10 dollars a month. It really works and you don't have to go the the local gym. You have everything you need in the privacy of your own home.

1. When you opt into this program you will receive a monthly meal plan.  You will learn how to eat healthier and how to prep in advance.  No thinking required throughout the week and no excuses.

2.  You will get a workout plan both in print and in video format.  Workouts change weekly so you won't get bored

3.  You will have access to an online support community.  A group of people going through this with you as well as people to answer your questions.

You get all this for $10 a month - way cheaper than a gym membership and any personal trainer programs out there.
What do you think?

I hope everybody else is having success with this program. I have noticed others have gotten sick too, don't get down, the program can still help you lose weight. My goal is still 190 pounds, I am losing about 1 pound a week, which is just great for me. Have a great week everybody.

Get A Professional Plumber To Diagnose The Problem

If you are connected to the Brooklyn water main, then you need to think twice before trying to fix your own water pipes. There are plenty of different problems that can take place with water pipes these days, so you need to be careful when it comes to jumping to conclusions that you cannot back up with any facts. Unless you are a professional plumber, you are probably not going to diagnose the problems with your water pipes. The fact of the matter is that you would probably go to the doctor if you had a problem with your body, and you should treat your water pipes with the same amount of respect. If you do not know what is causing your water to mess up, then you should cool your jets before you get too excited about finding a solution. Instead of wasting a weekend trying to figure out what is going on with your pipes, you should just call up a team of professionals to come out and take a look at the problem. These guys will probably be able to fix the problem rather quickly, and you will not have to worry about being without water for very long. Even if you think that you could save a few bucks by fixing the problem on your own, it is important to realize that this kind of logic is flawed. By calling the specialists to your home, you will be able to save both time and money.

Viviscal Man Hair Growth Program

“I participated in a campaign on behalf of Dad Central Consulting for Viviscal. I received product samples and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.”

I admit it, I am getting old. I noticed recently that my hair is thinning. It is bad enough that I have to deal with the pains of becoming older, now I have to deal with hair loss. I was given the opportunity to try Viviscal man Hair Growth Program which promotes existing hair growth from within. This product nourishes thinning hair, the perfect product for somebody like me to check out.
As you can see by the pictures, my hair is getting thinner with age. I will be starting this program tomorrow in hopes that it will put some thickness back into my hair. This hair thinning crept up on me and I am hoping I do not lose my hair. As a man, I think I look and feel older with thinning hair. My father is bald and my brother is also losing his hair. I think if there is a way to bring back my thick head of hair, it is a good choice for me. Viviscal man is allowing me to try this product, so all of us can see how it works for me. Stay tuned to see how this product works. If you want to try Viviscal man, they are offering a 10 percent discount through Walgreens.comTo take advantage of this discount readers can enter the promo code “VIVISCALMAN” at checkout. This offer runs through the month of July.

I don't like the fact, I am getting old. I also don't like knowing most of the men in my family eventually go bald. I look forward to the results from Viviscal man hair growth program. Life is filled with so many obstacles, I don't want mine to do with becoming bald. Here are some link to tell you more about this great  product. If this product works as good as I believe it will, I will tell my brother about it because he has more thinning hair than I do.

The truth is that hair loss in men is most often a gradual process leading to permanent hair loss in portions of the scalp.  Viviscal Man takes the approach of nourishing the existing hair so that hair follicles are able to produce hair for a longer time thereby allowing you to keep your own hair longer.
Viviscal Man - clinically proven - nourishes the hair where it matters, from the inside.   There are no prescriptions or surgical processes involved with the Viviscal Man program.  Viviscal Man is a 100% drug-free hair growth vitamin supplement. This is what I like about Viviscal. After looking into the product, I realize I am taking a vitamin supplement for my hair that is nutritious and helps promote hair growth. This way, I don't have to worry about putting bad things into my body that may hurt me. I was always afraid to use products in the past for hair growth because I thought the ingredients would do more harm than good. I look forward to natural hair growth.

The Best Places To Develop 35MM Film

I love photography and recently bought a EOS Rebel TI SLR film camera off of EBay for fifty dollars. The camera is in beautiful shape and takes wonderful pictures. Because of the digital age, finding the right place (at the right price) to develop 35MM film was tougher than I expected. These are the best places I found to develop 35MM film

1. Costco-It took me three months of searching, but I finally found out that Costco is the best place to develop your 35MM film. It will only cost you $4.00 to develop a roll of 24 pictures at Costco. They offer 4x6 pictures in glossy or matte, if you have a 35MM film camera, you know this is an incredible price. Costco will also develop your film in 5x7 for a couple dollars more. You will have to be a paid member of Costco to use their film development, but it is worth it if you are a film camera enthusiast. Costco offers one hour film processing. Many Costco stores have stopped developing film because it is no longer cost effective 1-09-13 update

2. Walgreens-Walgreens is not nearly as cheap as Costco when it comes to 35MM film processing. Walgreens charges 9.99 to develop 24 pictures, but they offer one hour service, good quality photos and will not charge you for messed up photos. Walgreens is a good option if you do not want to join Costco for a nominal fee. Walgreens continues to develop film

3. Snapfish-Snapfish is an online film development company-they also do digital prints, but we are more interested in their film development. Because Snapfish is an online film developer, you have to sign up for their service online. If you want them to develop your pictures, they will send envelopes to your home, you drop the film into the envelopes and send it back. You will need your credit card, address (Snapfish will actually send your pictures to your local Wal-Mart if you prefer) cost is 2.99 and 1.99 shipping per roll of up to 27 pictures. Snapfish is good quality, but will take longer than Costco and Walgreens. Snapfish also lets you prepay and save money, $2.69 per roll for ten or more rolls, 15 rolls at $2.59, 20 rolls at $2.39 and 50 rolls at $1.99 per roll.

4.Mpix-I learned of about this company from a comment giving to me in this article. This company seems cool and I will likely try them in the future because our Costco decided not to do film prints anymore. The Mpix Difference
The choice to use Mpix includes the experience and professionalism of a company with a rich history in photography, exceptional customer service and true pride in our products.
K-Mart-I don't know the facts, but heard through the grapevine, they are still developing 35MM film
Your first step in ordering prints is to choose one of two options. Our standard option allows you to choose between three premium papers and includes our expert color correction service: a department of color techs solely dedicated to enhancing your photos with consistently bold color.
The second option, 19 cent prints, gives you an economical way to order without sacrificing the quality of an Mpix photo. Our 19 cent prints come in three sizes, are printed on our premium E-Surface paper and do not include color correction.

These are the best places to develop your 35MM film. I enjoyed Costco because they are cheap, great picture development and I use their store for shopping anyway. It is a shame they decided not to develop film anymore. Walgreens is good if you are in a hurry, don't care how much you pay and don't want to send your pictures through the mail. Snapfish is a good option if you take a ton of pictures and don't mind waiting for them to come through the mail. Snapfish is pretty fast for their type of 35MM film developing service. If you still have a 35MM camera and love to take pictures, Costco, Walgreens and Snapfish are your best options. I thank everybody for their information and updates from their areas of the country. This information helps all of us who love the art of photography.

Television Shows We Grew Up Watching in the 70's: The Walton's

This is a new series about television shows middle-aged men and women grew up watching in the 70's. I was born in 1964 and our choices of television channels were limited in the 1970's. We had about ten total channels to choose from and most of us did not have HBO. HBO was launched in 1972, but most people were not able to get it. In was in the 1980's that most of today's most popular cable networks were launched. This series will deal with the most popular television shows we grew up watching in the 70's, today we will look at The Walton's.
The Walton's originally aired on CBS from 1972-1981. The show took place on Walton's mountain, which many of us believed was a real town, but was actually a fictional town located in Virginia. The time of the Walton's was during the Great Depression during the Presidency of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. John-Boy is seventeen years old and is the main character of the show. His parents have been married for eighteen years.
The Walton family consisted of parents John and Olivia who had seven children; the grandparents also lived with the family. The story was based on the family trying to survive during the time of the Great Depression. The story is told through John-Boy who was played by Richard Thomas until 1976 when he left the show for better opportunities. The story unfolded in the little town of Walton's Mountain as we met characters of the town and grew to love most of them.
Four of the Walton boys entered World War II. I remembered watching the family based drama unfold in front of an old radio where the family listened to news about the war and the world that surrounded them. I remember Grand Pa Walton and his secret recipe. I remember watching the family as they went to the old Baptist church, for a time John Ritter played one of the ministers.
In our household we followed the drama and got to know the fictional Walton family. We watched the children grow-up into adults, some of them getting married and having their own children. We watched a family stick together during tough times. We watched the family in pain as they lost some of their loved ones. The Walton's may have been a fictional family, but they were the type of family that made the U. S. grow strong during some of the tougher times in our history as a nation. Goodnight John-Boy, Goodnight Mary-Ellen.
List of Stars on The Walton's
Richard Thomas-John-Boy
Ralph Waite-John Walton Sr.
Michael Learned-Olivia Walton
Ellen Corby-Grandma Walton, Deceased 1999
Will Greer- Grandpa Walton, Deceased 1978 during the run of the show
Judy Norton Taylor-Mary Ellen Walton
John Walmsey-Jason Walton
Eric Scott-Ben Walton
Mary Elizabeth McDonough-Erin Walton
David W. Harper-Jim-Bob Walton
Kami Cotler-Elizabeth Walton
John Ritter-Rev. Matthew Fordwick, deceased 2003
The Walton's finally fizzled out after a long run on television. It was a great family show that I was proud to watch as a young boy and a teenager. The Walton's was one of the shows I watched in the 70's on our black and white television and I enjoyed every minute. Stay tuned for more of the fun television shows we watched in the 70's. We didn't have too many channels, but we had a lot of fun shows we enjoyed.
